Poured into a sam adams custom glass: color is copper, head is off white and presents about 1/2 inch thick then dissipates to a ring and light froth.
Smell is very boozy upfront, then settles into a blend of malt (toast, caramel) and grassy hops.
Taste is not boozy, more of the blended hop and malt profile. Caramel malt is present but not overpowering, touch of toast and biscuit; hops are grassy, with some light pine, finishing with a resinous touch.
Mouthfeel is good for a DIPA with this type of caramel and malt profile, the hop resinous touch lingers well with great flavors.
Overall, a solid dipa, nice resinous flavors and no cloying sweetness with a good touch of caramel and toast flavors.

While it is a double IPA, the hops presence is not "double", more like your typical IPA. My bottle must be pretty fresh since I got it from a company rep just a few miles from the brewery.
High in ABV at 9.7%, just what I need today.
Clarity is great.
Flavor is crisp, citrusy from the hops. Very drinkable.
I like it, would drink again.
I like the level of "hopiness" here, it's not very high, just like a typical ipa, and flavors are nice. Color is almost like copper, interesting but I don't really care about that. Clarity is very good, not like my home-brew. Overall it's a great beer when you want that Double IPA kick. Lots of ABV value I suppose, well, not really when a bottle of Gin is $20 at 50% abv, but that's not an IPA either.
Yes, I reviewed this After drinking a bottle so I may be bias.
