I've called this an American Wild due to the influence of the Brett. It is not sour and is based on a porter recipe.
Beautiful, funky barnyard flavour. A light lactic acid note comes through too. The yeast character totally dominates any malt aroma but I like it.
Deep dark black with a small light tan head. Short head retention which is expected for a beer with some acidity to it.
The flavour here is interesting. I get lots of funk, some good lactic acidity and a nice chocolate and roast backnote which is very faint. I really dig this.
Medium-light body with moderate carbonation. Nice.
A tasty, tasty beer with lots of really cool funk.

Another interesting drop to try tonight and pours a dark kola hue with a khaki creamy three finger head and lacing everywhere, the smell is wow for a porter aged in barrels its definately funky with hints of Brett, kola beer, oak, light chocolate and funky fruity esters, the mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation and has tastes of funky chocolate,Brett, oak, the slightest touch of piniot noir and finished with a nutty dry finish and overall if you want something different and abit out their style based then this is your brew i love it as it borderlines on so many styles while still being extremely palettable and yeah it works well would buy again without doubt cheers.
