A crisp and effervescent beer that calls to mind some of the best Belgian Goldens, but with an American twist. It goes down incredibly smooth for 8.5% abv and just feels perfectly balanced with enough hop flavor on the front-end without a bitter aftertaste. This may be my favorite beer ever to come out of the South.

big thanks to barrelandzachary for sending this my way along with a slew of others from this brewery (including some draft only offerings and properglassware).
Enjoyed from a wild heaven snifter.
a - brew poured a deep murky orange with a generous two fingers plus of frothy foamy head that was massive and chunky and left huge milkshake like lacing on the glass. head had really nice retention.
s - nose is fairly classic to style and on the sweet side (which is amazing since this is brewed without sugar). bubblegum and bananan...belgian sugar, some sweet grain.
t - a bit more spicey than the nose suggested...reminiscent of the trader joe beers that unibroue brews for TJs. again, big banana and bubblegum but tempered with white pepper, safe, and clove. a bit heavy on the pepper.
m - not as creamy as authentic BSPA, but above avg for an american take. heavy carbonation without being overdone.
o - overall, not a bad BSPA but far from the top...a bit too spicey for my tastes and seems to be a borderline tripel lite. ok but my least fav of the 4 beers i got to try from thus fine brewery.
