L: Pours a hazy light brown/ orange with a tall beige head that sticks around in the glass.
S: Smells very malty upfront, has a very good hop aroma, citrusy.
T: Follows the nose, has a somewhat nutty flavor to it, very citrusy & earthy with a lot of hop flavor.
F: Medium-bodied with a very smooth finish, creamy.

On tap. Amber color with thick white head. Smells fruity with some floral hops. Medium and slightly creamy feel. Taste starts with sweet malt and is then dominated by piney hops.

$ 2.12 (Including tax)/12 oz can ($ 0.177/oz) at HEB #26, Schertz, TX.
Canned 6/6/17. On shelf in store. Stored in 41 degree reefer at house, served at 41 degrees in a hand washed and dried shaker.
Aroma – Weak floral hops.
Head – Large (9.5 cm, aggressive pour), off white, low density froth, average retention, diminishing to a four mm ring and a rocky partial layer. Broken lacing remains as the head recedes.
Lacing – Fair. Partial rings of tiny bubbles.
Body – Dark gold, hazy.
Flavor – Begins moderately bitter with a bit of malt. The maltiness has a long hang time. No alcohol, no diacetyl. The oats impart an unusual unpleasant additional flavor.
Palate – Medium, almost creamy, soft carbonation.
Impression: Seems like a waste of oats – they add nothing positive to what would otherwise be a decent APA. One and done.

Appearance 3.25, Aroma 3.25, Flavor 3, Palate 3.5, Overall 3.

Poured at 46°F from a 12oz bottle (bottled on 07Jan16) into a Mikasa ale glass. Consumed on 09Jun16.
LOOK: Three fingers worth of dense, off-white foam becomes Rocky and porous after fifty seconds. At two and a half minutes, the foam head dissipated into a half fingers worth. Amber in color with a mild cloudiness. There is a large quantity of both small and medium rising bubbles. Lacing is high in quantity and both thick and very thick.
SMELL: Strong aromas of lemons, orange, grapefruit, tangerine are balanced by mild sweet oat, red grape, and floral hop aromas along with subtle aromas of toast.
TASTE: The hop profile instantly explodes on to the palate in the form of strong lemon, orange, grapefruit, and tangerine flavors. A malty and sweet balance is brought forth as mild sweet oat, toast, red grapes and floral hops next caress the taste buds. Strong bitter hop flavors push their way through and finish off the taste profile as all previous flavors maintain.
FEEL: Somewhere between full-bodied and medium-bodied. Carbonation is high. Goes down rough due to the carbonation. Finishes with a strong and unpleasant dryness.
NOTE: This had such an amazing aroma due to the lack of bitterness. The taste, not so much. The bitterness was too robust and distracted me from the sensational combination of the prior flavors.
