In a snifter.

A- Dark khaki fluffy head. Pitch black body. 4

S- Dark chocolate, milky strawberry with a bit of synthetic aroma. 3.5

T- Very synthetic strawberry flavor, then pleasant dark chocolate and dark roast flavor. 3

M- There's a good dry, bitter finish, but the synthetic strawberry screws up this beer and gives some unpleasantness up front. 2.75

Overall, the bad messes up the good on this beer. It's below average.

Pours black with small head. Smell is chocolate, dry and metallic. Tastes different than a standard milk stout for sure, but strawberry is not too obvious. Taste is dry, chalky, lightly metallic chocolate with a light tart flavor from the strawberry. Not the best flavor combination, but drinkable. Medium body and soft carbonation. Once is enough for me of this.

On tap at the Flying Saucer at the Lake Beerfeast 2012.

The beer pours a black color with a tan head. The aroma has a lot of chocolate and roasted malt in it, as well as a hint of strawberry. The flavor is very heavy on the roasted malts and chocolate, with a little bit of lactose. There is a little bit of sweet, fruity strawberry in the flavor, but it is fairly subtle. Still, it doesn't clash with the other notes in the flavor and makes the beer quite enjoyable. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

This is a nice dark ale topped off with a light tan head that quickly dissipated into thins, scattered bubbles. Hops aromas are very present and you can pick up hints of the occasional dark fruits-blueberry and blackberry, figs, and plum. This is a full bodied beer, slightly bitter overall and goes down smooth has a good alcohol aftertaste.

A-Black in the glass, one finger off white head

S-Semi artificial strawberries, tad bit of chocolate but not much else.

T-Strawberries that are artificial, very artificial. Some chocolate bu the strawberries dominate.

M-Medium bodied, not much carbonation and watery.

O-If the strawberries weren't so artificial the beer would have been good.
