Not only was Flagstaff IPA consumed with dinner, but doubled as a drink while I did my second homebrew! With 22 ounces, there was plenty to drink. On to the beer:

Not only is the head thick, but it holds much of its thickness well. Lots of lace ciricles around while below, a pale orange brew with copper hues and a clean body rest. Its aroma brings notes of pine, vague citrus fruit, light tangerine, and modest caramel base, though in terms of hop intensity, it's mild. Same in the taste as well. It comes across more of a "mild" IPA in terms of hop presence. Highlighting the taste are tree sap, some resin, burnt sugar, and a modest citrus note. Despite the mild hop presence, the beer did seem to have an oily texture while being medium bodied. Mild IPA or not, I still found pleasure drinking the bomber.

Another beer obtained at pagosa. Copper color, white head, about 1" deep, not much lacing or retention. Citrus bittery aroma, caramel.

Decent hop flavor, a bit one dimensional, in that it is pretty much just a sweet, slightly dry citrus with a ton of bitterness. No way of knowing if this was fresh or not, the flavor profile makes me think it might not be under 2 months old. The caramel that was noticeable in the nose doesn't do a very good job at soaking up the bitterness.

Was pretty much another ipa in a long list of AZ ipa's that were all middle of the road.

Poured a nice clear amber, with thin white head that quickly dissipated, leaving a bit of lacing. Quite nice on the eyes. Scents of grapefruit and pine. A nice IPA scent. Flavor is very pine forward, very much a big hit of pine resin. Grapefruit pith is the secondary flavor, with a bit of a tiny floral hint in the finish. The bitterness level is quite high, befitting the beer's 90 IBUs. There is a tiny hint of malt present, but overall it's pine, a hint of grapefruit and a tiny amount of floral hops. A nice piney hop bomb. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. About what is standard for the style. Overall this is a good IPA, with a nice pine forward character and a nice high level of bitterness. Well worth trying.

Big off white head slowly settles to a quarter to half inch froth covering a clear light caramel golden colored beer.

Citrus and pine hops aroma come through nicely.

Slight bitter hops coming through in citrusy and light pine hops tasting beer.

A dry slightly bitter dry aftertaste with a bit of the piney and citrus aspects of the taste stinking around with this medium bodied beer.

Pretty good tasting IPA for a six pack cans, usually better IPA's come in bombers or stuff like that.

a: dark golden leaning towards amber.. 1.5 finger head.. leaves nice lacing.

s: big citrus notes, pine, danky ganja, sugar coated pink grapefruit.. sweet floral hops to round it out.. some bready notes..

t: prickly hop bitterness upfront.. resiny pine needles, big grapefruit bitterness, strong citrus peel..floral hops as well! finish has some bready notes to even it out.. but this is pretty much a hop bomb!

mf: prickly carbonation with a medium body.. maybe just a tad bit too carbonated for my liking. but still has a nice creamy body.

o: nice hop bomb.. hop heads won't be disappointed.

This beer comes courtesy of the creator of the canquest, woodychandler. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a cloudy dark golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of tropical fruits, hops. Taste is very hoppy and bitter, not a lot of balance, some fruits are present. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall if you like bold hoppy beers, you will like this one.
