Slightly hazy golden amber with a large foamy white head with decent retention. Pretty nice lacing.

Sweet caramel malts first, followed by a citrusy grapefruit hop aroma. The hops are pretty muted, but I'm not sure how old the bottle is. Not bad, but I would like much more of a hop kick to the nose.

Similar to the aroma, malt forward, heavy on the caramel malt. A tad stale tasting. Not much in the way of hops here either. I'm just getting the basic citrusy hops, moderately bitter, but not a whole lot of hop flavor.

Moderate body and moderate carbonation. Leaves some residue on the tongue to accompany the bitterness.

Not a super huge fan of this one. It tastes more like an amber ale than an IPA to me - a little heavy on the caramel malts and not heavy enough on the hops. Kind of a funky, stale aftertaste.

Another beer obtained at pagosa. Copper color, white head, about 1" deep, not much lacing or retention. Citrus bittery aroma, caramel.

Decent hop flavor, a bit one dimensional, in that it is pretty much just a sweet, slightly dry citrus with a ton of bitterness. No way of knowing if this was fresh or not, the flavor profile makes me think it might not be under 2 months old. The caramel that was noticeable in the nose doesn't do a very good job at soaking up the bitterness.

Was pretty much another ipa in a long list of AZ ipa's that were all middle of the road.

Poured a nice clear amber, with thin white head that quickly dissipated, leaving a bit of lacing. Quite nice on the eyes. Scents of grapefruit and pine. A nice IPA scent. Flavor is very pine forward, very much a big hit of pine resin. Grapefruit pith is the secondary flavor, with a bit of a tiny floral hint in the finish. The bitterness level is quite high, befitting the beer's 90 IBUs. There is a tiny hint of malt present, but overall it's pine, a hint of grapefruit and a tiny amount of floral hops. A nice piney hop bomb. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. About what is standard for the style. Overall this is a good IPA, with a nice pine forward character and a nice high level of bitterness. Well worth trying.

Big off white head slowly settles to a quarter to half inch froth covering a clear light caramel golden colored beer.

Citrus and pine hops aroma come through nicely.

Slight bitter hops coming through in citrusy and light pine hops tasting beer.

A dry slightly bitter dry aftertaste with a bit of the piney and citrus aspects of the taste stinking around with this medium bodied beer.

Pretty good tasting IPA for a six pack cans, usually better IPA's come in bombers or stuff like that.

a: dark golden leaning towards amber.. 1.5 finger head.. leaves nice lacing.

s: big citrus notes, pine, danky ganja, sugar coated pink grapefruit.. sweet floral hops to round it out.. some bready notes..

t: prickly hop bitterness upfront.. resiny pine needles, big grapefruit bitterness, strong citrus peel..floral hops as well! finish has some bready notes to even it out.. but this is pretty much a hop bomb!

mf: prickly carbonation with a medium body.. maybe just a tad bit too carbonated for my liking. but still has a nice creamy body.

o: nice hop bomb.. hop heads won't be disappointed.

This beer comes courtesy of the creator of the canquest, woodychandler. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a cloudy dark golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of tropical fruits, hops. Taste is very hoppy and bitter, not a lot of balance, some fruits are present. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall if you like bold hoppy beers, you will like this one.

Reviewed fully to my phone at Morefield Campground, Mesa Verde National Park, CO.

A- Can pours with a golden body that has a fairly hazy appearance. A white cap rises to one finger with pretty good retention. A frothy ring and island remain atop the brew and lace begins with sheets and ends with drizzled spots.

S- Stone fruits and lemon oil citrus hops jump out of the glass in a strong hoppy aroma. Notes of mango, tangerine, lemon zest, grapefruit and pine. Beneath this is slight cracked grains and bread hints.

T- A slight shift occurs compared to the aroma but the stone fruit forward hop theme remains the emphasis. A slight sweetness gives the mango, melon, tangerine and apricot notes a pulpy feel. Pine strengthens with citrus zest bitterness and floral notes as well. Yeast remains mostly clean and slight cracked grain hints poke through.

MF- The body is pretty much on the light side maybe a shade towards medium. Overall texture is frothy and creamy but not quite chewy. Finishes lightly bitter.

Fairly impressed by this after having a few rather below average brews by them. The hops are bright and flavorful with a nice stone fruit and melon flavor as the highlight.
