From the 22 fl. oz. bottle. Sampled on November 11, 2013.
It pours a cloudy pale yellow to golden and a short lasting fizzy white head.
The nose tends to bring out a grainy toasted bread character and a hint of fruit. Hops are muted.
The body is smooth and about medium.
The taste does a 180 degree turnabout with an explosion of caramel malt sweetness, dough, and raisins. There is also a butterscotch feel to it. The grains are in retreat in the flavor. Low bitterness and hardly noticeable.

Bottle from Bert's
Pours a cloudy amber orange color with a smallish off white head that dissipates quickly. Damn that's an odd aroma. Peaches sweet orange with a hint of caramel and flowers. The flavor is sweet with lots of fruit flavors. Earthy and a hint of pith cut through that a little, but damn that is sweet. Medium body with a light level of carbonation and a sweet syrupy mouthfeel. I haven't poured one down the sink in a while, but damn that beer is a mess. Sweet and sticky with almost nothing to balance it, nothing like any pale ale I've had before.
