Poured into an imperial pint glass. Color was a slightly dark golden amber with a white 2 finger head. Head dwindled to a 1/4 in layer of larger bubbles with several very rapid streams of carbonation rising from the bottom to replenish. Aroma was strongly of citrus and hops. Citrus could be picked up immediately upon removing the cap, hops shortly thereafter. Given time, the aroma diminished, but still smelled of orange under the hops. Flavor was subtle, but seemed to have layers. Hoppy bitter was the strongest flavor, but at times a lactosey vanilla was picked up along with small hints of orange. Mouthfeel was a strange one. Coated very well and was nicely carbonated, but left a strange feeling in the mouth afterwards. Overall a decent beer with the only detraction being the strange mouth feel.

This beer was a hazy dark amber color with a small off-white head.

Pleasant aroma. Outdoors, perfumey. Some citrus. A good deal of malt.

The taste didn't quite live up the aroma. Grassy and citrus hops, but on the mild side. Strong malt presence.

This was an understated beer. Not bad, just not what it could be.

Poured from a bomber into a pint glass.

Appearance: Clear light gold color with a thin white head that faded quickly.

Smell: Sweet citrus and hops.

Mouthfeel/Taste: Smooth, medium to light bodied. Taste hit you up front with an assult of bitter hops flavor, which gives way to a sweeter body of citrus and hops.

Overall: This is an OK IPA. It seems that the up front hit of hops is not smooth or balanced, making it a hard beer to sit down and drink. But it was not a horrible beer by any means.

This comes from the second batch. Sampled on November 6, 2010. It pours a murky golden-amber with maybe a quarter-to-half inch of fizzy head that slowly dissolves. As for the aroma, check out the fruity esters on this one along the lines of banana and pear. Certainly the hops are evident but the fruitiness pops up first. Little in the way of malts. The medium body leads to a well-hopped taste but not to the point of being overdone or too sour. Way in the background I get a sweet maltiness but the hops rule the day. The fruity esters of the aroma are not as obvious in the taste. Overall, a nicely balanced IPA that is not too bitter.

Had this tasty beer on tap in Holderness, poured nice golden color, good head, with decent lacing as it went down, nicely carbonated. Smell was typical IPA, citrus, pine, etc.

Taste was well balanced, strong hops, but not overwhelming, with strong malt backbone and some decent sweetness.

Where this beer was quite unique was in the mouthfeel. Very different, almost buttery smooth. I can see where it could be off putting, but I quite liked it. All in all, found it to be a unique IPA due to the taste balance and that mouthfeel.

What a pleasant surprise! I found this at a bottle shop I don't often go to, and had never heard of it so I picked it. Poured from a bomber into a Dogfish Head shaped pint with no expectations. The beer pours a murky, hazy orange with pale golden edges. There is a thick frothy bone white head that quickly fades to a tight cap, leaving oily sticky lacing on the walls of the glass.

The smell is awesome. Wow, wasn't expecting this at all. A blast of pineapple, lemon zest and sticky sweet oranges with very little malt presence. I really had to do a double take on this one, couldn't believe I found something brewed in NH that smelled like this that I didn't know about. Awesome.

The taste follows the smell with more citrusy juicy hoppy characteristics. Lots of pineapple up front, with a sharp zesty lemon/lime and orange peel . There is a quick hint of sugary malt and alcohol sweetness, but it is quickly ushered away by a blast of bitter hops that linger well into the finish. The aftertaste of this beer is a sweet juicy hop that lingers and makes me want to reach for the glass quickly.

The beer is perfectly carbonated and has a nice medium body. The alcohol is well integrated and the beer has a nice bitter juicy hop finish that invites drinking. This will become a go-to beer for me, and I can't wait to try other offerings from Squam.

Pours a two finger white head that fades slowly leaving some lace. Hazy amber color. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied. Grapefruit hop nose. Flavor is grapefruit hops that are almost balanced by the malts. Light bitter aftertaste. $7.50 for a 22oz bottle from Chase Street Market & Deli Plymouth, NH.

Pours a slightly hazy light golden color with a decent sized white head that slowly dissipates to a cap. Smells of earthy and citrusy hops with a touch of sulfur and a solid shot of light caramel. The flavor is malty with some hops and a bunch of ethanol. Earthy citrus hop bite countered with bready caramel and a present enough shot of alcohol and astringency. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet bitter mouthfeel. Mediocre IPA, nothing really wrong here, but nothing too exciting either.

A-Light amber, hefe, with creamy foam on top, lasting few minutes.Appearance is big plus for this beer.
S-Extremely hopy i guess, also some grains and fruits.
T/M-Most extremely bitterness, you could taste some herbs also.Very low bitterness.
O-I think that this is very good micro IPA,but also i think that i decidedly do not like IPA style.
