Poured into an imperial pint glass. Color was a light golden that was slightly cloudy with numerous streams of carbonation. Head started as frothy, but leveled off to a nice layer with just a hint of cling to the sides. Aroma was slightly sour with a very small hint of banana hiding along with a tad of pepper. Flavor started off a bit peppery, switched to some lemon flavor, and then mellowed out to a bland banana bread. Felt right in the mouth, fairly well carbonated despite not having much visible. Coated nicely as well. Overall a decent wheat beer. Not as sessionable as others, but with a bit more flavor and character than most.

From the 22 fl. oz. bottle. Sampled on March 28, 2011. This bottle conditioned beer has a nice milky, pale yellow pour with a long-lasting off-white head and very busy carbonation. Aromas of wheat, citrus, and thin malts. Excellent body for a wheat. The wheat comes on strong in the taste with a slight orange zest around the edges and well-balanced hopped ending. Incredibly drinkable.

Pours a five+ finger cream head that fades very slowly leaving a good lace. Cloudy amber color with ton of yeast left in bottle. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied. Yeasty nose and flavor is yeasty wheat, hints of lemon. Decent summer ale. $6.95 for a 22oz bottle from Bert's Better Beers Hooksett, NH.

22 oz. bottle poured into a hefeweizen glass. Bottled purchased from the brewer.

Pours a slightly foggy gold color, with lots of carbonation. One finger of head graces the top. Though the beer poured relatively hazy, this clears out to an almost pilsen-light crystal clear gold.

The nose is full of wheat, lemon zest, and a slightly peppery tang.

Lots of citrus in the mouth, but this is nicely balanced with a strong (but in no way bitter or overpowering) hop character. There is a vague malt finish which lasts for a few seconds, before the beer disappears from the palate altogether. For my personal tastes, the beer has far too much carbonation, and would do better with a more moderate carbonation level.

Overall a very nice summer session ale that is nicely balanced throughout. But though refreshing, the beer isn't overly exciting and certainly isn't Squam's best offering.

Nice. 22 oz bottle poured into a weisen glass.

A: Pour a pale gold, slightly cloudy with a rich, white, long lasting head.

S: Wheat, some citrus, slight malt aroma. A good clean smell.

T: Refreshing. Wheat, slight citrus, clean malty flavor. This is what an American Wheat Beer should be like. Slight bit of bitterness but very well balanced.

M:Closer to a medium body than light. You can feel the carbonation.

O: A great lawnmower beer. Also a good beer to sip in front of a campfire on a summer evening. Very drinkable. I will buy this again the next time i get up to NH.

Poured into my standard Red Sox pint glass. Pours a straw hazey yellow with a one inch white head leaves lace webs. Smell is clove, banana, and orange. Taste loads of clove and some banana and orange. Body is standard for the style, plenty of life, not dry, and it is going down quickly. This is a solid example of the style.
