Poured from a brown 22 oz. bottle. Has a bright golden color with a 1 inch head, a surprising amount of lacing. Smell is of floral hops, a bit of lemon. taste is lemony, malts, a bit of hops, slight sweetness, pretty refreshing. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a good thirst quencher on a hot day.

Ok, trying these guys again, hope this is better and considering I really love Kölsch let's see how this compares. Poured from the bottle into a Gaffel stange glass.
Off the pour there's a real nice orange peach character to this beer. Looks unfiltered, cloudy with some cola bubbles, and manages when finally settling to leave a solid white even creamy but uneven head. Good staying power. Looks good.
Nose hits with a spice more like a Heffeweizen, some clove, dryness, powdery sense. Chewy fruit sense. Smells like a solid Heffe than a Köllsch.
Palate hits with a very light body and wetness. Fruit ester seems to come in giving some mix of lemon and yeast. Really odd. Finish hits with a sourness and even kind of hop bent almost. Kind of a unique tasting beer here.
Overall though, it seems to start off reminding me more of a hefe, and it's certainly drinkable, and much better than the last beer I had from these guys, but it does not taste like a Kölsch at all. Unique beer, but even with it's unique character I am not desiring this again.

Pours a cloudy gold with a light head - color not typical for Kolsch, but the head was dead on
Nose was nice and light with a little spice and maybe coriander ... odd for the style, as Kolsch tends to smell very light if at all
Taste was far different than the style it is supposed to represent, but I found it quite satisfying. Light, but spicy. Not sure if I would compare it to a heffe, but would agree it has similarities.
Mouthfeel was light but full. Not much malt as expected, but there was "something" there. Nothing off-putting, but something I could not put my finger on.
Overall this was an interesting beer. Not at all what I was expecting, but I would definitely buy another few bottles for a warm day. If you're looking for Kolsch, this is not your beer ... if you are looking for a light, refreshing drink with some interesting notes, grab a couple bottles.
