Reviewed from notes in my beer book. Almost forgot about them. 2 weeks ago, thanks cousin Sonny.
A- Black, not quite RIS black, pour into two snifters with a two finger, light-tan head. Head retention is decent and it falls down to a small, fizzy ring. A few nice thick webs of lace.
S- Cocoa atop a medium strength Milk Stout base. Roast malts, creamy lactose, toast brown malts and some hints of coffee.
T- Kind of makes me think of a beer somewhere between Choklat and Creme Brulee by Souther Tier and it doesn't scream White chocolate specifically. Medium roasty malt base, coffee grounds, dark brown grains, slight caramel and some lactose sweetness. Rich cocoa, toffee and vanilla but not really white chocolate.
MF- Body is a bit light for the dessert decadence of flavors. Carbonation also a bit high with some roast bitterness in the finish. Creamy texture.
Solid cocoa like the regular version that maintains itself throughout the experience and doesn't fade. A nice milk stout base but the body is just a bit off to me.
