Poured from a bomber into a snifter. 2013 version per the label. Served at cellar temperature.
Appearance: Pours a near pitch-black and leaves big, not thick, tan head of a couple fingers that lingers for a while before steadily fading to a layer atop the beer.
Smell: Chocolate malts, hint of roasty coffee, hint of vanilla. Sweet cocoa and malts are the main flavor. Pleasant and a bit subdued.
Taste: Chocolate malts, that mild roasty coffee again, a nice hint of sweet vanilla. Not very sweet at all, but there is that vanilla in the finish that is nice. Very well balanced and drinkable.
Mouth-feel: Medium carbonation with a medium, creamy body. Finishes really smooth. Very drinkable.
Overall: I definitely enjoyed this brew. Very drinkable with nice, well balanced flavor. It is still more dark chocolate than white chocolate to me, but there is a nice mild sweet vanilla component to it that I really enjoy.
