appearance: Dark brown with ruby highlights. Nice mocha head and messy lacing.
smell: Fairly subtle coffee and mild roasty stout. Hint of cinnamon.
taste: Wow, there's the cinnamon roll. Damned if they didn't nail it. Like a breakfast of cinnamon roll and coffee plus beer. That is to say, the best breakfast there be. This is truth in advertising.
overall: They nailed this. Very unique, interesting beer.

Thanks to rudzud for sharing this beast, wanted to get my hands on one, but he had a better trade angle and got one first.

Pours a big creamy dark mocha colored thick rich almost 1 finger head that sticks around for a while, with nice lacing and big legs that slowly crawl down the sides.

Nose is ridiculous, very strong, tons of fresh coffee grinds, espresso coffee roast like an intense espresso shot, with some nice cinnamon as well, then sweet doughy cinnamon roll pastry with nice sweet sugar icing, touch of vanilla.

Taste is just straight up cinnamon roll, lots of nice cinnamon and pasty dough fluffy roll, and then a nice candy sugary icing. then it gets into fresh espresso and coffee grinds, light caramel, roast, and dark malts. Mild cocoa and vanilla, creamy feel but not oats, doughy malt taste too. Mild earthy bitter hop with fair bitterness. Finish is sticky but not too sweet, long lingering espresso, cinnamon, cinnamon roll with icing, and little earthy hop bitterness.

Mouth is chewy and fairly heavy bodied, semi creamy, nice fluffy carb, hint of warming booze.

Overall very good, huge cinnamon roll note with tons of espresso, very nice. Totally worth the hype IMO.

Turning the sublime taste of Wake n' Bake into a Winter Warmer type of beer is easy- or at least that's how Terrapin makes it seem as its lavish chocolate and cocoa taste takes a let turn into Cinnabon territory.

But with little descrepency from the original, this Cinnamon Rolled version pour with a robust dark coffee color, at least after basically chewing through the bottom of the bottle because its nearly impossible to open the right way (obnoxious-ass wax!). Its subtle haze attributes to its translucent character as glimmers of tawny redish-brown low lights cast about its margins. A foamy, fluff and creamy sandy-stained head jets to the rim of the snifter and retains diligently while trailing with a spider webbing of lace.

Decadent aromas of pastry-laced cinnamon jumps out to the nose immediately! Wrapped in a sweeter scent that's usually reserved for candy stores, the malty side of the beer promises to be complexly sweet. But its backbone of medium-roast coffee, dark chocolate, heavy toast and roasted nuts provide the perfect support for the candied spice.

As the malt wraps around the tongue with a sense of burnt toffee, thin caramel and honey. After the cinnamon folds in on the middle palate, the overwhelming taste of Cinnabon takes me back to every airport I've ever traveled through. Equipped with the sweetness of powdered sugar glaze, the darker and toastier flavors of porter slide right underneath. Its dark-roast coffee, bittersweet chocolate, walnut and toasted flavors are robust but dry in taste- careful not to overwhelm the "cinnamon rolled" character that's celebrated to perfection.

Full bodied to start, the dark ale is creamy and expansive. But as the carbonation pulls from its residual sweetness, the ale trends drier and toastier. With a mild astringency from both spice and from roasted grains, the finish is a warm honeycomb of charred toast and campfire.

Just when you thought you've tasted it all, a surprise comes your way and shows all the flavors that you've ever tasted but does so with unique proportions and scale for a culmination that's both a shock and a tease to the taste buds.

Bottle share at Proof courtesy of jbruner. Poured a pitch black opaque with good tan head that went fairly quickly. Aroma is perfectly dark. Coffee, dark roasty malt, and a touch of cinnamon in there as well. Taste is the exact same as the aroma, wonderful. Nice viscous body and creamy mouthfeel. Superb beer.

Excellent looking: dark red-brown with a durable ring on top.
The aroma is not as great as the name suggests but this is due in part to judicious use of spicing that eventually produces a more balanced flavor. The light cinnamon blends more harmoniously with the coffee.
O: worth seeking out.
