-can packaging. spiegelau ipa glass.

(3.60) A: Deep orange coloring, slow, light spacious rise of effervesce. Dirty bready white head, average retention rate, with a minimal lace band.

(3.60) S: Aroma of pine, citrus hops that were flowery, lightly dry, with some dry orange grind. Decent level of awareness.

(3.85) T: Orange grind-pine hopping. Some sweetness of malt, and citrus flower, spiciness of grapefruit grind and a bit of dried tropical fruit (dried coconut) chimes in. Big grassy hop finish, some lingering, very good level of intensity.

(3.70) M: Spicy mouthful, bright orange and citrus glow on the inner cheeks. Lazy carbonation, medium full body.

(3.85) O: Overall good flavor, some tropical citrus notes, spicy and bright, a perfect tropical beach companion. Nice drinker with a big grassy hop finish. Fitting name, california style with a tropical island touch of hops. Very good, easy recommend.

A: Pours a medium golden yellow in color with light amounts of fine visible carbonation slowly rising from the bottom of the glass, a moderate amount of fine particulates in suspension towards the bottom of the glass, and a light amount of honey colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense foamy light beige head that slowly reduces to a mottled thin film covering the entire surface of the beer with a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of tropical/mango, tropical/peach, and citrus/orange zest hops.

T: Upfront there is a light amount of light grainy malts that are slightly sweet that is quickly overtaken by the moderate to strong flavors of the hops - tropical/mango, citrus/orange zest, pine/resin, and herbal. Light amounts of bitterness that lingers for a moderate amount of time.

M: Light to medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Light to moderate amounts of dryness in the finish.

O: Very enjoyable and very easy to drink with extremely well hidden alcohol - I could easily put down a couple of these though that might make me a little more impaired than I would like... Really nice flavors and aromas from the hops.

Poured into a nonic a dull light to medium golden with a frothy half finger white head that left some broken lace as it settled.A nice shot of grapefruit rind in the nose along with some residual pine resin,a lightly sweet biscuit malt base is detected as well. The body could use just a little beefing up but it's not overly light.Good fresh hoppy flavors of grapefruit and pine with not being overly sweet, the malt base is dryer giving off some biscuit malt.A nice "standard" ipa wich you don't see enough right now,it's either a light "session" or a hop monster,a good grilling beer.

Light amber colored with a tightly knit inch thick eggshell colored head. Light Brussels lacing. Pleasant aroma of citrus hops is apparent. The front of the palate is a burst of moderately aggressive citrus hops. There's plenty of light malt to back it up. The mouth is moderately carbonated, dry, and slightly sticky.

Case for 35 bucks West Coast style IPA from Terrapin no problem, I'm sold. Pours a slightly orange peach haze with big apricot golden tones with white head forming thick and leaves behind speckled lacing. Aroma has peach pit, citrus peel, tropical fruits, with a hint of dankness Hi-5 IPA is from GA. A beloved state to anyone who has visited, personally my brother lived there for 5 years and I loved my visits to Acworth, GA. Flavor has biting bitterness and citrus peel with a smooth finish in the end it comes of slightly creamy with hints of sugary malts a hop assault for sure. Mouthfeel is harsh big hops, harsh rolling carbonation but all is forgiven with the dry succulent hop finish. Overall I'm a fan of Terrapin and most of their hoppy offerings from Athens, GA.
