Breakfast in a bottle returns this year with one of our favorite morning time treats. "French Toasted W-n-B" combines big maple syrup notes, fresh coffee, and hints of vanilla and cinnamon to stand out among ordinary Imperial Stouts. With this much decadence packed into one bottle, this beer will get you back to the table for another round.

Taken from notes, 2015
22oz bottle poured into snifter
A- pours pitch black in color with a small creamy dark tan head that reduces to leave a film on top with some specs of lace being left behind
S- fresh espresso aroma bursts out of the glass with a compliment of cinnamon that seems to enhance the coffee aroma. Dark artisan chocolate and vanilla bean follow, along with a black molasses sweetness, very nice
T- big mix of fresh espresso and dark chocolate malt with notes of cocoa, black strap molasses, ground cinnamon, caramel, vanilla bean & dark fruits. More coffee and cinnamon on the linger
M- medium body with low carbonation leads to a slightly foamy mouthfeel and a bit of a slick finish
O- the additional of cinnamon works well for the base beer, further enhancing the coffee as chocolate, alcohol is hidden well

A: Poured into a snifter to a black beer topped by a dense finger and a half of tan head which fades slowly to a collar around the edge of the glass with some lacing.
S: Smells of coffee and chocolate with some hints of maple sweetness and light cinnamon
T: Taste is coffee and light maple with some vanilla and some hints of cinnamon. More maple comes in toward hte middle and back with a little more coffee and roasted malts. Swallow is maple, coffee, roasted malts, light smoke, and lingering coffee on the very end of the finish
M: This beer is on the heavier side of the spectrum with carbonation that is a little more than I would like it to be at just slightly prickly. The beer has a slightly drying finish which is nice.
O: Overall this is a really tasty beer with some nice flavors and complexity. Probably should have gotten around to drinking this one sooner but still drinking great.

Cinnamon forward with coffee on back. Still looking for the maple syrup with the French toast.

2014 bottle. Poured black into a snifter with minimal head that dissipated quickly. Smell was pure chocolate milk. Taste was similar, but with the dry/bitterness of powdered cinnamon. No coffee/vanilla/maple syrup at all. I have to say, I am disappointed that some of the flavors fell off; without them, it wasn't very "french toast-y" at all.
