Pours a clear deep gold/pale amber producing 1.5 fingers of eggshell, somewhat lasting, foamy head that leaves a thin wash of lace. Aroma is ginger & apricot on top of sweet caramel malt that unfortunately subdues what I judge to be grapefruit & tropical fruit mixed with hints of honey & resinous pine. Taste is ginger, apricot & sweet caramel malt totally dominating a hop profile that I think is citrus & pineapple backed by pine needles & resin. There is a pepper note from mid-sip into the bitter earthy, ginger fruity, malty aftertaste. Starts sweet, bittering at midsip gravitating towards a sweet finish to become a bitter/sweet very dry aftertaste becoming heavily bitter with time. Mouthfeel is moderate-heavy bodied with low-moderate carbonation, rich, slightly oily, a little chewy, prickly & grainy on the tongue, dry in the aftertaste.

Reviewed from (long-standing) notes. Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into an unmarked pint glass.
A: Pours a very nice clear gold, with lots of active carbonation bubbles and a two-finger white head with better than average retention. Nice.
S: Ginger, citrus fruit and rind, cracker malts, and more ginger.
T: Ginger, citrus (tangerines) and mild tropical fruits. I suppose there might be some peach/apricot within that fruitiness as well, but it's not big. Cracker malts, a restrained hop bitterness. It finishes with more ginger and a bit of alcohol heat.
M: An average body, but has enough carbonation sensation to come across as crisp. The alcohol heat is noticeable but not obnoxious.
O: I guess this wasn't terrible. But there is a LOT of ginger here, and to me it hides the other flavors (especially the peaches) rather than complimenting them. But still drinkable.

Pours a cloudy, maize color. 1/4 inch head of an off-white color. Good retention and decent lacing. Smells of strong alcohol, spice (lemongrass), hint of citrus, sweet malt, and slight hops. Fits the style of an American Double / Imperial IPA. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with a low carbonation level. Tastes of strong alcohol, ginger, hint of citrus, slight yeast, slight hops, and a hint of pine. Overall, decent appearance, good aroma, body, and blend. The ginger plays and interesting balancing factor to the alcohol and hop bitterness.

12 oz bottle w/o freshness info that I could find
Pours glowing orangy Amber, moderate off light oatmeal head, with minor fine bits of lace left on the glass.
Fruit juicy nose, kicked up by an ample ginger note providing a hot spicy bite
Tasty fruit infused and softly hopped up brew. Apricot does shine through., with a gingery note adding some biting spice...nice....well worth a try...nice brew put together by two quality breweries.

I love ginger in beer but it tended to overwhelm the overall flavor profile. No perceptible apricot, decent bitterness that was overwhelmed by the ginger.

Golden clear. This is ginger beer. I'm smell and taste. Literally just ginger. Bizarre but worthwhile.
Earthy, bitter, and shallow. Brief taste, malty body/finish.
