Pours a body like a cup of coffee. Foamy head is about the same, no retention at all. But the body is dark and mysterious.
Smell is of good coffee, chocolates, and a roasted malt backbone. Rich ad fun to quaff. Taste is creamy bittersweet chocolate with a complimentry dose of coffee. The malts are nice and roasty. There is a citric aspect to this , could be from some hops, or from the natural acidic qualities from the coffee beans. Thick and syrupy, just like a stout should be.
Not sure why this is called wake and bake, it's no where on the label. Plus I would prefer this as a nightcap or desert coffee. Either way, it is very good and enjoyable.
