Did this side by side with founders Breakfast stout.Poured into A founders snifter,I let it sit outside the fridge for 20 minutes I prefer to warm these up a bit.
A. Dark black no light is shining through this one,a 1 finger dark tan head recedes pretty quickly.looks like a little bit of carbonation coming from the bottom. No lacing on the glass.
S. Ok smell is pretty damn good my mouth is watering. At first I get the expected big coffee notes then follows a spicy garden pepper smell that I did not expect. Also lots of bitter dark chocolate and some cocoa.
T. Alot like the smell But not as much coffee as I was expecting but still is the main taste here.I get a peppery taste no doubt,a good bit of chocolate. Also getting some of the alchohol in the end.
M. Nice medium mouth, smooth and creamy. Not much carbonation which I think suits this well.
Overall great beer worthy of it's hype,I will definatly seek more of this, as well as everybody who enjoys the style. Now to reveiw Founders!

Bottle shared by Curran. Thanks man!
Pours a thin looking watery black, with a small quarter inch head, and not much lacing.
Smells incredibly strongly of nutty roasted coffee, with roasted malt, and baker's chocolate.
This has one of the strongest coffee flavors in a stout that I've ever had, but it's also nicely integrated, as well. Creamy chocolate and vanilla flavor- slightly bitter chocolate chip flavor, with Hershey's syrup, a cookies and cream flavor, and a very small amount of hop bitterness.
This one is medium bodied, but I wish it was a little thicker. Low carbonation, creamy, very smooth mouthfeel.
A real classic that I'm glad I'm finally getting to try for the 1st time.
