Appearance: Dark as night, pours like motor oil. Left just about half an inch of foamy head which quickly dissipated. Some slight lacing along the glass as you drink.
Smell: I've had a number of stout beers in my time and this is perhaps one of the strongest beers to trigger my olfactory sense. Coffee is the most prevalent, with lesser notes of chocolate and what I would describe as almost nutty
Taste: Remember that coffee smell? Well after taking a sip you're going to know where that came from. The bottle description tells you that they use local coffee in the brew and I believe them. Overall a good stout, but honestly maybe a bit too much on the coffee
Mouthfeel: Smooth, clean, one of the cleanest stout beers I've ever had. I will say that the taste of coffee does seem to linger.
Overall: I love this beer, but for my money (and this beer is somewhat expensive) I would rather get an Old Rasputin. But certainly right up there in the same ballpark. If you like stouts, and haven't tried this one, then you need to.

Appearance: Pours a nice black with short dark brown head. Leaves good lacing
Smell: Coffee, chocolate, nice roasted malts
Taste: Again, coffee and chocolate up front. There are some great roasted malts in here. Light earthy hops. Little bit of fruityness
Mouthfeel: Full body, creamy feel, low carbonation
Overall: Fantastic brew, one of the best coffee stouts out there. Reminds me a bit of drinking iced coffee black, but way better.

One of my top 3 stouts, this is absolutely superb.
a: Pours a beautiful warm dark coffee color with a single finger vanilla head that dissolves smoothly.
s: Roasted coffee, chocolate, and toffee with a wisp of alcohol to balance the ensemble.
t: Beautiful rich coffee goodness, with a rich, sweet, creamy, malted chocolate finish. Insanely beautiful.
m: Bold and big.
