Thanks to blackie for including this in my ba anniv package.
A: Pours a black as night jet black color with a one finger toffee colored head. Retention hangs out for dissipates enough to only leave a thin skim on top. Sticky lacing on the glass.
S: Bitter coffee grinds are the most apparent aromas that come up first. Slight ash aromas as well. Sweet caramel notes also.
T/M: Hefty roasted malt. Robust and rich on the palate with both chocolate and caramel flavors. Silky smooth and slightly sticky oatmeal flavors last into the finish. Theres an ashy almost gritty or chalky mouthfeel, that technically shouldnt enhance the beer, but this does. Bitterness leads into a roasted malt aftertaste. Medium to full bodied with a low carbonation.
D: Highly drinkable with a lower abv than other, comparable double stouts. Smooth and silkyness makes this beer a tough one to just sip on as the mouthfeel is excellent. Wake and bake it is--this would be a great stout to have with breakfast...possibly with some eggs or pancakes.

Bottle shared by Curran. Thanks man!
Pours a thin looking watery black, with a small quarter inch head, and not much lacing.
Smells incredibly strongly of nutty roasted coffee, with roasted malt, and baker's chocolate.
This has one of the strongest coffee flavors in a stout that I've ever had, but it's also nicely integrated, as well. Creamy chocolate and vanilla flavor- slightly bitter chocolate chip flavor, with Hershey's syrup, a cookies and cream flavor, and a very small amount of hop bitterness.
This one is medium bodied, but I wish it was a little thicker. Low carbonation, creamy, very smooth mouthfeel.
A real classic that I'm glad I'm finally getting to try for the 1st time.
