Thank you to sincereNC for this beer.
The Terrapin Coffee Oatmeal Imperial Stout pours as black as midnight with a moderate light brown head. As expected, I wouldn't expect an imperial stout to be vibrant. The aroma is pleasant with hints of malt, coffee, hops and light alcohol.
The taste is unusual for an Imperial Stout. First of all, there is a definite coffee flavor. Also, the alcohol is hidden nearly entirely at first taste. At 8%, the ABV is on the low end of imperial stouts but the drinkability is dangerously high.
I would rank this beer as very good bordering on excellent. As a dry stout it is great. As an imperial stout I would say it is very good, while there are more flavorful options available. That's not tp say this isn't a very good beer.

Bottle shared by Curran. Thanks man!
Pours a thin looking watery black, with a small quarter inch head, and not much lacing.
Smells incredibly strongly of nutty roasted coffee, with roasted malt, and baker's chocolate.
This has one of the strongest coffee flavors in a stout that I've ever had, but it's also nicely integrated, as well. Creamy chocolate and vanilla flavor- slightly bitter chocolate chip flavor, with Hershey's syrup, a cookies and cream flavor, and a very small amount of hop bitterness.
This one is medium bodied, but I wish it was a little thicker. Low carbonation, creamy, very smooth mouthfeel.
A real classic that I'm glad I'm finally getting to try for the 1st time.
