12oz bottle thanks to axeman 9182, enjoyed at a small 3-person tasting (split 3-ways). Poured into Founders snifter. 2011 vintage.
A- Pours a completely opaque dark black with a thin layer of creamy mocha brown head that recedes fairly fast. Not too much carbonation apparent.
S- Roasted espresso beans, dark chocolate, creamy coffee. Definitely above average aroma strength, definitely pleasant aroma strength. Coffee held up even though over 8 months old.
T- Coffee (not as much as in the aroma), espresso beans, creamy dark chocolate, some lightly roasted malts. Light coffee aftertaste. Very well balanced, definitely full of flavor. Age might have reduced the coffee a little bit.
M- Creamy, smooth, easy to drink, not bitter at all.
O- This was a very nice stout. Definitely easy to drink, full of flavor (although I feel some of the coffee might have faded with age), awesome creamy mouthfeel. I would definitely recommend trying this out if you like coffee stouts, I probably wouldn't recommend aging it too much. The coffee held up decently well in the aroma, however I think it faded a little bit in the taste.

Thanks to Commis for the trade. Poured into a pint glass.
The beer pours a thick black with an off-white slightly creamed coffee colored head that disappears rather quickly and left no lacing along the sides of the glass. The aroma of the beer is rich in chocolatey goodness with hints of coffee and alcohol. The flavor is rich and deep. It starts off silky smooth on the tongue and quickly turns into a bold and rich chocolate malt and coffee flavored beverage. The Oatmeal lends an extremely smooth mouthfeel. The flavors are almost of a burnt milkshake and the 8.1 % ABV is easily masked by much better flavors.
This is a winner. The appearance and lack of head or lacing was slightly disappointing, but the flavor and MF are dead on. A wonderful Imperial stout.

Big thanks to davesway10 for providing this as an extra. Served out of my Brewery Vivant tulip.
Smell - Strong dark coffee with some sweetness.
Taste - Coffee dominates the palate. Upfront - coffee. Midpalate- coffee. Finish - coffee.
Overall - I know there are those who appreciate this beer, but as I'm not much of a coffee drinker, waaaay too much coffee for me. Like drinking a cup of coffee with some beer poured in it. With all that said, I'm stll glad I got to try it.

2011 vintage poured into a snifter.
Easy pour produced about 1" of dark beige head which dissipated to about a 1/4 inch in a few moments. Body is deep brown with no light showing through.
The pour smelled of a heavy coffee and as the beer settled in the glass the oatmeal and alcohol could be distinguished in the smell.
The taste is a bit simple for me. It's certainly well rounded with coffee in the back -- actually pleasantly in the back. The coffee is much stronger in the smell than in the taste.
The mouthfeel is very smooth almost creamy. Very well balanced.
My recollection of this beer was better than it was this time - possibly waited too long on it. I agree with yamar68 -- the flavor profile needs a little complexity, but it might be due to the age.
