12 ounce bottle acquired as an extra in a recent trade, reviewed from notes, poured into a Stone pint glass, color is a reddish orange, small 1/4 inch off white head, no retention or lacing, aroma consists of a lot of malt, small amount of rye, dates, figs, caramel, little pine, and tangerines, flavor starts off with some sweet malt, carries over into the middle where there is some chewy malts and rye too, finishes sweet with weird creamy flavor and some misplaced citrus tastes, sweet, malty, and chewy mouthfeel, medium bodied, light to moderate level of carbonation, sweetness lasts a long time, too heavy and overly sweet, not smooth for its style, too reliant on its malt profile, pretty disappointed with this one, probably because I have had some good rye beers lately and this did not live up to any of those, would not drink again, not recommended
