Poured into a Dogfish head Pilsner glass fresh out of the refrigerator.
Appearance: Transparent while featuring a light brown hue. Good carbonation, bubbling throughout. Slight, creme colored head.
Smell: Smelled just like a typical IPA. Had hoppy scent but was not very strong. Not overpowering in one direction or another.
Taste: Suprisingly complete taste. It combined the IPA taste with the taste of a Brown Ale quite well. It seemed as almost a 50/50 split in the flavors. The brown ale came through a little more in the after taste.
Mouthfeel: Good mouthfeel. Carbonation led to slight tingling on the tongue. Wasn't overly smooth but wasn't harsh by any means. Pretty standard of Terrapin.
Drinkability: More drinkable than I originally thought. It was an excellent combination of the hoppiness of an IPA and featured the Brown ale flavor in a mellow manner. I don't think I'd buy a six pack but I would recommend this to anyone picking up some single bottles or finds this on tap.

A- Dark reddish brown in the glass. Poured an ok 1 finger head. Good lacing.
S- Smells are on the faint side. Caramel, cracker, surprisingly big booze, plum, raisin, slight touch of pine, citrus, and chocolate.
T- Follows the nose fairly closely; however, the flavors are better on the tongue than in the nose. Caramel, bready malts, plum, earthy hop spice, booze, slight orange and grapefruit with some pine.
M- Slightly thicker than medium. Smooth on the tongue. Slightly drying with a bready, fruity, bitter aftertaste.
O- At first I didn't like it, but the warmer it got, the more I did. In the end, I feel its easiest to explain it as 50% Brown Ale, 40% Belgian Strong Dark Ale, and 10% IPA. It is very nicely balanced considering all the contrasting flavors and styles. I would definitely have it again.
