Reviewed from notes. Poured from 12 oz. bottle into a CCB pint glass.
A: Hazy, dark reddish copper in color. Thin, off-white foamy head, medium visible carbonation.
S: Pine, citrus rind hops, with sweet and caramel bready malts and a sweet oaky vanilla.
T: Oak. Then some oak, and oak. Some faint pine hop bitterness, then some sweet malts. Then oaky vanilla dryness.
M: Medium body, sticky mouthfeel, alcohol noticeable but not to the point of distraction. Relatively low carbonation sensation.
O: This isn't truly a bad beer, but way too much oak and way too little hops. I'm not thrilled.
