A: The beer is black when viewed from afar but closer inspection reveals that it is actually clear garnet in color when held up to a bright light. No carbonation is visible. It poured with a quarter finger high tan head that died down rather quickly, leaving lacing on the surface and a collar of large bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of cocoa nibs are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell, but has lots of chocolately flavors and bits of sweetness from the cocoa nibs. It almost tastes like a watered down version of Hershey's chocolate syrup. Little if any bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and a little thin on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is a really enjoyable porter that has the magnitude of chocolate aromas and flavors that you would expect from a stout but has the drinkability afforded by that of a porter.

A- pours pitch black with a small foamy light-tan colored head that reduces to a small layer floating on top, leaving a bit of lace behind
S- roasted cocao nibs, ash tray, faint chocolate malt, metallic aroma, milk chocolate
T- sweet cocoa flavor up front with a hint of dark fruit mid-palate, sweet toffee on the finsih
M- medium body with moderate carbonation, foamy mouthfeel with a smooth-yet-dry-finish
O- good chocolate porter, would like to see a little more prominent flavors for chocolate/cocoa though, once was enough for me

Poured from a bomber into a shaker pint, this thing produces a ton of head. Just cracking the bottle releases a rising foam tower that barely gives you time to get to your glass before it starts climbing out. Pours a very dark, rich, brown-to-black color with mahogany highlights and a tall, frothy, foamy, light tan head. Eventually, the head settles into a nice, low profile surface coat, and this is a good looking porter. Aromas are heavily roasted, with a solid dose of bitter, too. Dark chocolate and cocoa nibs are notable throughout the nose, with constant hints of smoke and roast. Flavors are heavily roasted, with a solid bitter forward tone. Cocoa nibs, subtle smoke and roast, with a blend of bittersweet baker's chocolate and hints of milk chocolate. Smooth and rich, with a lean to the bitter side. The body is light and dry, giving it a slightly crisp, clean finish. The aftertaste is more of the bitter and roasted notes, and there is a bittersweet baker's chocolate linger in the finish.

A- Darkest possible brown with a big khaki colored, creamy head. Kind of on the soapy side. Good lacing.
S- I love the smell. Cocoa, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, slightest touch of coffee, caramel.
T- Sweet malts up front, followed by a slight touch of sweet dark fruit that morphs into dark chocolate and smoked malts. Almost a cracker like breadiness as well. I love the aftertaste more than anything. Its like you just ate a bag of dark chocolate chips.
M- Super light on the tongue. Good carbonation with intense drying.
O- This was pretty good. I keep wanting to say it was confusing. The smell and mouthfeel were awesome. The taste was rather plain until the aftertaste started to develop, and it was super thin on the tongue. True mix of great and not so great.
