A - Slightly hazy copper body beneath a 1-finger white head of tight bubbles. Head subsides in about a minute but leaves a nice swirled lacing on top and nice lacing on the glass.
S - An interesting mix of Belgian yeast and citrus hops. Not as aromatic as expected - I really had to get my nose in this. Pear and dried apricot with some spicy alcohol notes.
T&M - The mix of moderate carbonation and slick alcohol make for a smooth mouthfeel that is neither slick and oily or dry. A nice feel with a bit of creaminess. Great citrus hop flavors up front that are bold and bitter but not overdone. Very nice balance from the Belgian yeast comes in next and adds a sweet fruitiness of pear and dried apricot. The yeast becomes more predominant as the beer warms and the alcohol becomes a bit spicier.
D - Despite the high alcohol content, I really enjoyed sipping this beer. Very well balanced in flavor and body and you get the best of all worlds of bold citrus hops and fruity Belgian yeast and spicy alcohol.
