Props to BA Gborobeer for putting this in my "beer of the week" package!
A - Hazy medium brown/dark orange with a thin head that doesn't last with minimal lacing. Small traces of upward cascading carbonation bubbles on the sides of the glass.
S - Starts off with a sweet malt aroma with hints of candied sugars. Phenolic esters are present slightly from the yeast that compliment the sweet malt aroma. Not much of a hop aroma compared to other Belgian IPA's.
T - Quite different from the smell...the taste has significantly more hop flavor/bittering and the maltiness takes a back seat. Through the hop flavor there is a very nice dark fruit, light spice, and brown sugar flavor. Quite the contrast in flavors but blend and transition nicely.
M/D - Medium body with a semi-dry and tart finish. Volumes of carbonation where they should be for this style and no hint of the high alcohol. Very nice sweet aftertaste makes it an easy drinker and the transition of flavors give it a good drinkability.

From notes 7/5/12: Pours a clear orange gold with 2 fingers of billowy white, frothy, soap bubbly head that has nice retention but leaves only a thin etching of lace. Aroma is Belgian yeast, bread, some lemon, grass and a hint of sour. Taste mirrors the nose with the addition of biscuit and caramel malt, a mild, pleasant hop bitterness and a slight peppery prickle in the finish. Aftertaste is bittersweet and lingering.

Labelled as Monks Revenge. Bottle to goblet.
Aroma is apricot, orange, yeast, mold. Look is cloudy yellow-orange. Small head, but creamy looking....lasting. a touch of vinegar. Some Wang, but the sweet fruitiness and creaminess keep it pleasant. Medium carbonation.
A nice Belgian.
