22 oz bomber poured into a mug as always.
A: pouring hard at 37F into the mug got a nice 3 inch head, lots of lacing that died down after about 3 minutes or so. Golden in color, somewhat clear to hazy.
S: I let it warm up for about 20 minutes, first impression was very hoppy, citrus and pine smells. After 30 minutes near 50F. i got some bread, and well as a herb like medicine smell out of it. Also detected a good bit of alcohol, was a good day for the nose. I also detected the brown almost sour dough bread smell of the yeast.
In short it smelled as good as any triple i had in a lot time.
T: Very dry and clean taste, lots of hops, big pine and grapefruit jump at me at first. The after taste is more yeast and bread, and a big hint of alcohol. 3rd taste at 50F you get that medicine like taste again. Not sure what that is really. Some malt detected, but I have to say the hops dominated.
m: Crisp, clean, dry. medium body, nice beer.
D: easy to drink, I have had a few others before this, very decent beer for what there trying to do a Triple IPA if you will.
Not really my favorite from these guys but its a nice beer.
