A: Small dark tan head, creamy smooth covering, sits above a dense cardinal red colored body with a fine, misty rise of carbonation. Weak, washy, low lace coverage on glass.

S: Cinnamon forward nose, graham crackers, pumpkin toast with a hint of nutmeg, cola, and ginger spicing. Toasted caramel sweetness, lightly dry.

T: Flavor was toasted pumpkin and graham crackers with a helping of cinnamon dusting, ginger, and nutmeg spicing. Toasted caramel bread crust, pumpkin with a warmth of cinnamon dusting on the finish.

M: Tight mouthful, crisp and lively from carbonation, syrupy and malty depth.

O: Heavy on the cinnamon spicing and nutmeg, nice abv% of 6.1% sits well with a gentle warmth for the chilly season drinking. Sweet upfront with a dry pumpkin spice finish.

Poured from bottle. Orange/copper in color with thin head. Lots of pumpkin pie spice in the aroma. The nutmeg and cinnamon dominate the flavors with some malty sweetness.

12 oz bottle, poured into a pint glass

Appearance: Pours a pretty, hazy golden, copper/orange color with a quarter of a finger of white head that quickly dissolved away into a thin halo of foam that gripped the sides of the glass and formed wispy clouds that partially covered the top of the beer.

Aroma: Very pumpkin-y and spicy. Lots of cinnamon, all-spice, nutmeg and brown sugar. Some good notes of malt and freshly baked bread. Not much in the way of hops however.

Taste: Very good. Really strong pumpkin and spice flavors up front. Really good notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove. Really good malty backbone too. Not as sweet as other pumpkin beers that I’ve had, which is a nice change, rather, this beer is slightly tart. Finally, there is no hops bitterness to speak of, which I overall prefer.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied, with a little carbonation. With an ABV of 6.1%, there is no presence of alcohol on the palate.

Overall: This is a very good pumpkin ale. I really like the little bit of tartness that this beer has. It’s very original. I’m definitely getting a few bottles of this next year.

Like this brewer and I like the idea of this brew (O-fest meets Pumpkin)
But it's Jan and I'm so done with Pumpkins, they are long composting in my garden.
It's unsafe to buy a wfm craft pack until Feb for fear of it being filled with pumpkin beers and god forbid St Johns Mango the worst drain pour ever.

But this one is right center of the pumpkin patch and in some ways more suitable.

A: It's hazy amber orange in color and w low carbonation and a meager fast fade head and lacing as with most vegetal beers.
S: Light malt to bigger aromas of ginger and spice.
T: More complexity w ginger followed by pumpkin meat and lots of malt and spice. a good battle between sweet malts and spice, but little hop.
M: Medium, nice feel.
O: Oktoberfest meets pumpkins and spice. makes total sense. I found this to be as good as most Märzen but closer to and akin to most pumpkins, perhaps just ahead of mid-pack.

Freshness date of 1.3.15 - had two days earlier.

The smell is of cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice.

The taste is the same, with some bread in the finish.

It could have a fuller body, but it works.

A lager that is heavy on the pumpkin spicing.

As pumpkin beers go, I would not choose this one again. Nice places, but little else.
