Although this is a pumpkin beer, it is a lager and therefore doesn't belong in the pumpkin ale category. Originally a Side Project, now a Fall seasonal in six-packs.

Like this brewer and I like the idea of this brew (O-fest meets Pumpkin)
But it's Jan and I'm so done with Pumpkins, they are long composting in my garden.
It's unsafe to buy a wfm craft pack until Feb for fear of it being filled with pumpkin beers and god forbid St Johns Mango the worst drain pour ever.

But this one is right center of the pumpkin patch and in some ways more suitable.

A: It's hazy amber orange in color and w low carbonation and a meager fast fade head and lacing as with most vegetal beers.
S: Light malt to bigger aromas of ginger and spice.
T: More complexity w ginger followed by pumpkin meat and lots of malt and spice. a good battle between sweet malts and spice, but little hop.
M: Medium, nice feel.
O: Oktoberfest meets pumpkins and spice. makes total sense. I found this to be as good as most Märzen but closer to and akin to most pumpkins, perhaps just ahead of mid-pack.

Freshness date of 1.3.15 - had two days earlier.

The smell is of cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice.

The taste is the same, with some bread in the finish.

It could have a fuller body, but it works.

A lager that is heavy on the pumpkin spicing.

As pumpkin beers go, I would not choose this one again. Nice places, but little else.

Had this on 2014-12-15 in Columbia, PA from a bottle.

A - Moderately clear orange-brown with a 3/4-finger off-white head and mild lace.

S - Pumpkin pie spices with a good bit of graham cracker crust influence. Nice but nothing extraordinary.

T - Different. The bready-lager aspects are enjoyable with the pumpkin pie spices (with plenty of cinnamon) complimenting this nicely. The pie spicing is certainly evident but not over-the-top for this type of beer. Finish is dry, crisp with plenty of residual spice and a touch of sourdough.

M - Light body and medium carbonation. Pretty crisp. Not thick but not watery.

O - I like this brew. It stands out because of the lager base.

The nose is light but presents a nice aroma of pumpkin spices, pumpkin pie and caramel malt.

The description reveals this is a pumpkin lager and it tastes and feels like a lager. Very thin and a tone of wateriness, this is not one of Terrapin's best offerings. There is a spicy thread of clove, nutmeg, ginger and anise but I don't get much of the pumpkin gourd or pumpkin pie.
