Poured into a standard pint a mix of a burnt orange-like and alighter amber shade,a thinner wispy head that was gone pretty quickly atop.Big grapefruit in the nose with some apricot,a toasted malt notes sticks out as well.A little prickly in the mouth wich surprised me a little, flavors are more of a rounded hop flavor than an in your face hop punch, grapefruit and tropical fruit flavors with a hint of leafy/mint,a toasted lightly sweet caramel base holds up into the finish.Really nice flavors with a different sort of hop profile, pretty good.

Pours a golden-straw color, very mild amount of haze, translucent with a slightly off-white head; big and bubbly, creamy and lasting with nice lacing on the sides of the glass. Upon first whiff, the hop profile smells pretty nice; perfume, spicy, white pepper, roses, florals, and a slight earthy, citrus-peel sweetness that sneaks into the background. First taste isn't quite as bitter I was expecting, though not necessarily a bad thing. The first thing I notice a slight peppery, ashy hop flavor, a touch floral and earthy. Alcohol flavor comes out halfway through. More peppery and herbal hobs flow through the palate on the way down. Slight bread and biscuit malt backbone for the hops to stand on but not too much else from that side of the spectrum. The outro is full of that warming alcohol presence with a decrescendo of spicy hop flavor with a finishing touch of dry malt and a bit of yeast. Medium body, just outside the range of being sticky on the palate, somewhat dry finish, low-medium carbonation.
Nice spicy, peppery hop profile leads me to believe the type of hops were Central European. A decent IPA and easily drinkable even with the alcohol being a prominent role in the flavor department.

Serria Nevada Hopsecutioner 7.3% alcohol poured from 12.oz bottle to snifter.
A- Pours a copper colored fluid that produces a small off white head that falls to a froth and leaves mild lacing behind.
S- Smell is mostly floral hops with a light roasted malt background.
T-M- Taste is of lightly bitter hops with undertones of sweet caramel malts followed by a smooth hop tingle on the tongue. Mouthfeel is good with nothing more than smooth flavor rolling over the buds.
Overall this is a good beer to go all night with and enjoy all its charactoristics in mass quantities.

A - Lackluster off white head, very few bubbles, nice amber color, and quite bright.
S - Lots of hop aroma mainly citrus but with a bit of fruit also. Sweet malts with the citrus and fruit aromas almost remind me of a nectar.
T - Much like the smell with the citrus fruit, a bit of sweetness, but also a touch of toasted malts in there with a bit of breadiness.
M - Good, but could use a bit more carbonation to clean it up. Although I don't think the body is too heavy, it comes across a bit syrupy with the sweetness and lack of carbonation.
O - A very nice IPA, hope to be able to enjoy again.

Notes from 7/2012
Best by second week of December (assuming 2012?)
A - Pours clear amber with one finger of off-white head. Head has decent retention and leaves good lacing.
S - Aroma is pretty subtle, but there is some citrus, mostly orange.
T - Surprisingly malty for what seems to be a fresh bottle. Hops are quite subtle, though there is a good hop bite initially, it fades quickly, yielding to a tea-like flavor. Not really digging this, but it is ok.
M - Medium mouthfeel and slightly bitter. Not very memorable.
O - It certainly doesn't seem like a year-old bottle, so I have to assume this is a relatively fresh bottle that just doesn't live up to it's name.

Bottle courtesy of mntlover. Pours a hazy amber hued body with a small offwhite head. Good retention and plenty of scattered lace around the glass. Aroma features citrusy grapefruit with pine and grassy hops. Just a hint of toasty caramel underneath. Medium body with lively carbonation. Taste is deinitely of an IPA. Assertive bitterness has some pungent grapefruit, pine, and an earthy grassiness. Barely a hint of caramel sweetness. Finishes bitter and earthy. A solid IPA, but I would prefer something with just a hint more sweetness, like a Sweetwater IPA from the same state.

12 ouncer from a six pack purchased at Capones outside of Philly. "Best if enjoyed by" dating notched onto the side of the label. Pours lighter amber, with a subtle light golden orange hue. Leaves fine scattered lacing on the glass. The head is tight and solid, with retentive powers in evidence. Light fruity sweet, and mildly hoppy nose. More tropical fruit infused hops picked up, nice flowery and r. Flavorful and quite enjoyable IPA. Picking up further notes of biscuity malts, some quite drying graininess late. I like. Solid AIPA. Robust and heady sessioner
