IMO the best APA in the South
Poured from a bottle into a Terrapin pint glass
A: Crystal clear golden orange. Medium white head that fades to a pencil thin ring. Plenty of lacing.
S: This ale has a lot going for it, but smell sets it above other APAs. All the hop fragrance you could ever want from a pale ale. Grapefruit: check. Floral: check. Unique hop "funk": check. Very fragrant for an APA.
T: Crisp with a dry finish. Hop flavors step up but do not overwhelm. Asertive hoppiness but definitely not a hop bomb IPA. Hops are floral, citrusy, and very piney. The rye is subdued. I have to look for it. Not too much malt character going on, but present in enough force to balance.
M: Light to medium.
O: High drinkability, making it a fantastic session beer. I go back to this one over and over.

On tap, beautiful copper clear color, thin head faded fast, good lacing though. Carbonation just right
Peachy aroma, fruity esters with hops present seemed just right for a local pale ale
Nice mild to medium hop taste. Nothing overwhelming, very balanced
Dry hoppy attack. Nice finish. Easy to drink
Overall I liked it, and I am not a hophead

Pours copper orange with some creamy head and good lacing.
Smells sweet, soapy and floral with some tropical fruit coming through.
Tropical fruit, peach and citrus up front, with some rye spice following close behind. Pretty full body for the style and more sweetness than is typical in an APA. This is my last bottle of the sixer and I've also noted some bitter, metallic off-notes at times. Sort of coppery. But for the most part it's just pleasantly juicy and hoppy, although a bit big in body to have more than one or two of.
