An 8oz draft at the Porter during the Terrapin Takeover on 5/21/11
A - A cloudy light orange hue. One finger white head. Sticky lace all over the glass. Beautiful!
A - Citrus hops, grapefruit and piny hops. The citrus hops give off lots of sweet floral notes. Orange, pineapple. Piny hops also prevalent, giving a nice grapefruit smell.
T - Grapefruit and citrus. High ABV is hidden. Big hop kick at the end. Sweet flavors from the malts. So well balanced!
M - Medium carbonation, nice mouth feel. Creamy. Very crisp! Light bodied.
O - An amazing double IPA. Up there with the Hopslam and the Majaraja as one of my favorites. Very drinkable as well, as the high ABV is well hidden and it is so well balanced. Not too bitter, which often occurs in Double/Imperial IPA's. So glad that the Porter offered what I am sure is one of the last kegs, as I have been searching for this brew for awhile.
Serving type: on-tap
