12oz bottle into a snifter.

Pours a hazy orangish-brown with a one finger white head that fades away pretty quickly. A fairly solid white ring is left around the top of the beer with some splotchy lacing.

The aroma is filled with tropical fruit and grapefruit, oranges, and pineapple. Not a whole lot of malt but the juicy hops more than make up for it.

Huge hop burst upon tasting with a big rush of tropical fruit much like the aroa. Grapefruit, mango , pineapple, and orange are predominant. There is some nice biscuit malt character in the background and just a quick whiff of alcohol about halfway through. Bitterness is quite high but does a great job of counteracting the sweetness from the malt. Mouthfeel is slick and fairly dry for the style with a very balanced finish.

Overall, an extremely well done IIPA. Alcohol is very well hidden and the mouthfeel is not overly sweet as often happens with these beers. Great hop and malt balance and really quite drinkable for the strength. A nice beer.

A: Pours a nice cloudy orange with a cream colored two finger head that settles nicely coating the edge of the glass.

S: There is citrus and ripe melon in the nose along with some biscuit. A little dank.

T: Tastes of pine, mango, tangerine, some caramel notes.

M: Nice mouthfeel overall, resiny, a little sweetness with a light spicy bite and some mustiness on the finish.

O: An interesting brew overall, somewhat remniscent of early batches of Devils Dancer.

Purchased at World Market in Hoover Alabama for $3.00 341ml bottle. Served at 4deg C in a draught glass

A- Very good. Pours with a surprising amount of head for a high alcohol DIPA. Dark orange color.

S- PERFECT DIPA! Absolutely wonderful. Coriander, orange peel, musty.

T- Excellent. Lots of hops but not too bitter. Barely can tell it's over 10% alcohol. Caramel galore

M- Excellent for an IPA. Dry and tart.

O- Excellent. Watch out for the alcohol. Excellent cold but gets hot as it warms. Keep it in the bottle and pour as needed

Food Pairing

I tried this wonderful DIPA out with... T-Bone steak and baked potato. Not my cup of tea. Way overpowered the steak straight off the BBQ. This beer would go very well with sushi though.

Enjoy
