Pours a pale amber with a large, dense, foamy, off white head that has great retention. The nose is cirtusy and earthy; little to no malt aromas. The flavor is rather subdued; very light, bready malt and very light, citrusy, grassy hops. There are some piny notes as the beer warms. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied, well carbonated, and a little crisp at first.

For me this is a pretty underwhelming IPA. It's not bad, but the flavors are light and there's nothing that really grabs my attention. I would definitely go with their Hopsecutioner over this offering.

one and a half finger of off white head sits atop a clear copper colored body. as it slowly recedes some lacing is left behind and a thin spotty cap on top is all that is left. smell and taste are both the same. they are filled with citrus and pine hops, with a bready malt body. mouthfeel is a little oily with decent carbonation and a medium body feel. a long dry finish leaves you wanting more of this easy drinking ipa. overall this is very drinkable, ingredients are subtle and blended well. nothing is overpowering in this beer.

2011 on the bottle, so I don't think this was just brewed once.

Appearance: Nice copper amber body holds a thin cover and laces the glass in places.

Smell: Lightly leafy but fresh hop nose on a lightly worty base of grain.

Taste: Beer is generally balanced, hops are flavorful but not oily or bitter, the malt is clean but a bit under attenuated and worty. The two elements play well and both are light and easy.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light body, medium carbonation, almost watery feel.

Overall: A really nice pale ale, but given it's shooting for the IPA range, it's falling a bit short. Still, nothing wrong here, great flavor, refreshing, good stuff.

Thanks to Illudium for the bottle!

A: Coppery amber in color. Medium size creamy white head about 1/2" thick. Some light lacing. Nothing major.

S: Piney and citrusy. Some sweet breads notes. Really nice and fresh.

T: nice mellow hop character. Hops are up front followed by a smooth bready characteristic. Again really nice.

M: Smooth, refreshing and crisp.

O: Sometimes your not looking for a punch in your face hop character. If your having one of those days this is your beer. Excellent. I'd recommend.

bomber to pint glass

orange/straw hazy hue with a cream colored foamy head. lacing is def noticeable.. smell is caramels and malt taste is malty with a sneaky intrusion of some mild hop flavors, then it is gone, and the flavor is back to malt. this is a little over carbonated for my taste, not a huge huge fan of this..

22oz bottle poured into a dimpled mug

Pours a pretty amber, clean and bright. A two finger ecru cap falls to form a thin collar and leaves some dots of lace behind.

Hmm. Fresh hop IPA? I know this is probably close to two months old, but boy have these hops faded. This is more of a dry hopped lager, not sure what the other reviews say.

The aroma is earthy and musty with a clean, crisp lager yeast like aroma. Some faint oranges and pine are a little difficult to pick out.

On the palate, this guy is very similar to the nose. Clean and crisp throughout with some earty spice up front. Orange rind and pine needles come through in the finish. Some lingering juicy orange.

Medium body, clean and crisp on the finish. This truly reminds me of a dry hopped lager and not a wet hop ipa.

A nice beer that I think a little age hurt. Still, if this was intended to be a fresh hop lager, this is well above average. But as a fresh hop ipa, this is short of middle of the road.
