Very nice clear amber color.

Aroma is elusive, as in not much there, but I pick up a faint grapefruit and coniferous resin.

Flavor is kinda spicy and floral with ambiguous tropical/ citrus notes. Maybe I taste the alcohol too, but this is not a super strong beer at all.

Medium body with a sweet leaf finish. And I don't mean Ozzy.

I would drink this again, btu I wouldn't pay the $8.49 it cost when Sierra Harvest is better at $4.99

Hopped with fresh 2012 Citra hops. 22-ounce brown glass bottle poured into a Duvel tulip glass. Served at approximately 45 degrees F.

Pours especially clear, showing off a deep orangeish-copper hue with a huge two-fingered head of beige-tinged froth. As the head falls away, it clings to the glass with herculean strength, leaving behind long legs and fat splotches of lace.

The nose is a wonderful melange of citrus and tropical fruit notes, showing off a spread of blood orange, mango, papaya, and a hint of pineapple, all encircled by hints of starfruit. This showcase is what Citra hops are all about.

Smooth and medium-bodied, with a surprisingly lightly carbonated mouthfeel. Unlike the nose, the palate is pleasantly malt-accentuated and well-balanced. Bready, grain-like malt notes take the show from the get-go, teased in the middle with a balancing dose of dry bitterness that shows touches of grapefruit and orange around the edges but which doesn't intrude much further than that. Going down, more grainy breadiness takes hold and lingers afterward in the finish, melding with a moderately-dry bitterness to leave the drinker reaching for another.

The combination of an amazing bouquet, a balanced palate, and a dry finish yield one heck of a drinkable brew, and this showcase of brewing talent and a magnificent hop variety speaks of a beer that Terrapin should think heavily on re-releasing in the future.

Sampled this in a flight at the Mohawk House in Sparta, NJ. Poured copper/amber with little visible carbonation, and one finger of white head, with great retention and lacing. The nose was one of bitter dry orange peel, with some herbiness in there as well. The taste mirrored the nose, though with a very thin, modestly dry finish. Thin ipa, and much more carbonated than the appearance would suggest. While the feel may make sessioning this beer an easier proposition, I found it to be too one-dimensional, and the thin finish was too obvious to ignore.

A - A clear copper, color

S - Smells great. The fresh hops are evident

T - The 1st taste is the best. It tastes great when it hits your lips, but it does not pack the typical Terrapin punch/kick at the end. It is missing a bitter bite at the end.

M - Average. Pretty smooth. Not bitter.

D - I could drink several, but unless it put in 6 packs, I will not purchase it again. I think the Hopsecutioner is much better, which you can buy a 6 pack for for the same price

22 oz. bottle at 42* into a Stone IRS tulip.

A: This pours a transluscent dark red color with a half-finger of cream colored frothiness that retreats to the edges quickly.

S: The nose is just pure hoppy goodness - pine and floral - with some grapefruit and spice notes as well.

T: It features more fresh hoppiness, some citrus (but it's drowned-out a bit), and some earthy spiciness.

M: It has a medium body with some frothiness and a drying effect.

D: This is a hop celebration indeed.

Poured from a 22 oz. bottle into an imperial pint glass. It's a deep orange color, darker than a typical IPA. There's an impressive head with good retention and lacing.

It's hoppy... very hoppy. It's a more floral hop note with a little bit of sweetness to it. Pretty good.

The flavor is just more of the same... hoppy, not a lot of balance. It's good but not great on the flavor.

The mouthfeel is good, despite the dominant hops there really isn't a bad aftertaste at all.

Not a bad IPA, but not one I'd reach for again with other IPAs on the shelf.

A: Beautiful beer! It's a perfectly clear light amber color topped by a big-bubble, thin but foamy head. Lacing is alright, but the beer looks so good it makes up for that in other areas.

S: This is the second wet hop beer that I've had today, and this one, sadly, looses out on aroma between the two. The most dominant aroma is some caramel from the malt. It has a mild mild mild earthiness to it as well.

T: Bitterness right up front followed by this great caramel note and finishes with these wonderful tropical-fruit hops. For what this beer lacks in aroma, it sure makes up for in taste.

M: A bit light on the body, but good moderately high levels of carbonation to help bring the hops into full effect.

D: This drinks fine and smoothly, it's a nice sipping beer, but it's so smooth you could easily drink more than intended.

First growler pour into a standard pint glass. Body is a nice orange / copper color with 2 fingers of head that leaves nice lacing behind. A nice combination of citrus and pine hop aromas, does smell quite fresh as you'd expect. Tastes follows inline with the nose, just not as strong (unfortunately). Its tasty, just not as citrusy as the smell led me to believe. Medium bodied, plenty of carbonation, and easy drinking. It was nice to try this one, but not quite as flavorful as other fresh hop beers Ive tried.

A- pours a great deep amber color with a finger of off white head. Decent head retention with a touch of lacing.

S- nice fresh wet hop aromas burst from the glass. Notes of pine, hemp, hop oil on the front end. Leafy green aromas blend in the middle with a touch of wet tabacco. Finish is a backdrop of toasty malt.

T- toasty dry malt with a touch of dry caramel chew. A burst of fresh leafy hops with notes of pine sap, hemp and hop oil in the middle with a round good hop bitterness. A touch of alchohol warmth is tasted with a lingering organic sweet herb hop flavor. Dry finish.

MF- prickly mouthfeel with a medium body and average carbonation.

D- good drinkability

overall a good fresh hop brew!
