A: red black with no head and no lacing, no bubbles, clear
S: sweet chocolate, slight roasted malt, not much else
T: taste is exactly like chocolate milk mixed with carbonated water, slight malt hiding somewhere in there
M: surprisingly thin, maybe too much bubbles
O: kind of one dimensional but tastes as expected, sweet chocolate milk beer

Pours very dark and velvetty smooth. There is very little head even with a hard pour. The head itself is fairly dense and mingled with bigger soapy looking bubbles.

First snif you definitly get a big chocolate aroma. There is sutle roasted malts but all in all its mostly chocolate milk.

My first sip is all chocolate with some roasted barley giving another layer of flavor.
Drinks quite smooth but with some chalkiness also. Feels flat going into the aftertaste with the aftertaste being a bit dry.
Drinking this beer and smelling it reminds me of Hershey's chocolate world.

Deep dark brown body verging on black. Mocha-colored head sits on top about a finger thick. Not much head retention power and it dissipates to a thin ring on the outside rim of the glass.

Aroma consists of notes of milk chocolate, lactose, and that's pretty much it! No hop aroma, no real roasted grain aromas, but mostly just this cocoa aroma.

The flavor os gentle cocoa, with very little bitterness, and subtle undertones of vanilla. This is on the sweeter side for sure...again, with a stout I wish there was more roasted flavors here to back up that sweet cocoa flavor.

The mouthfeel is smooth, rich and oily. texture comes from the lactose suger maybe? Medium to low level of carbonation.

I remember the first time I had this at Capone's. I think it was on draft. I really enjoyed it, enough to buy a bottle later on for home. It was quite similar to "cocolate milk". However, trying it now, I am less enthusiastic. It tastes a tad too artificial to me. Too much sweet, cocoa and lactose sugar flavor and not enough roasted grains for my taste. For a milk stout style, I think it did pretty well though.

Almost pitch black with a dark brown head. Very thick appearance.
Smells of chocolate and roasted malts. Not too complex, but very enticing.
The taste is sweet, creamy chocolate up front. A slight roasty bitterness at the end, but overshadowed by the sweet chocolate character of the beer. Almost no hop character. The lactose gives it a nice, smooth, creamy feel. Medium body and carbonation.

A delicious, sweet chocolate stout. Comparable to Young's Double Chocolate, but possibly even better. I drank this while I ate a chocolate chip cookie. One of the only times where a beer and dessert pairing has really felt appropriate to me.

12oz bottle.

A - Dark brown-black with a thin tan head.

S - Rich roasted malt, milk chocolate, maple syrup.

T - Sweet milk chocolate and cream, with a light coffee bitterness. Charred woody malt and toffee on the backend.

M - Very smooth, medium bodied, crisp.

O - This beer definitely lives up to it's name, as it's very milky and has lots of chocolate flavor. Easy drinking and enjoyable.
