A: Golden brown hue with a full white head. Good looking beer.

S: The full spectrum of peach – flesh and skins – along with light citrus. Very fragrant and floral.

T: Soft peach flavors roll through accompanied by a slight sweetness, thinning out into a bready/cracker malt base. Finish is decidedly bitter with some light citrus flavors.

M: Body is light with effervescent carbonation. While alcohol is well-covered in the flavor, there is somewhat noticeable burn in the feel.

I really didn’t have high expectations for this given my last few Terrapin beers, but I think this a better beer than it has been getting credit for so far. Peach isn’t the most overpowering fruit and they did a nice job of packing those flavors in here. Areas for improvement might be dialing down the bitterness a bit and the abv if possible (you can feel that 7.2% pretty easily), but then again, that’s not really Terrapin’s style. Anyway, not a bad option if you’re in the mood for something fruity.

Also, kudos to the label artist - nice GA touch with the firefly. Thanks for the hookup Colin!

Terrapin/Left Hand collab. This was the first beer I ordered at the Left Hand Brewery during GABF week. Review from 9/25/11.

A - Served in a tulip. Excellent clarity to this bright and shiny glittering brass colored beer. Has a nice white head; tall with good retention properties.

S - Wow, the peaches are really ripe, fresh, and sweet. Lots of juicy aromas wafting around here. This fruit was wet, ripe, and delicious on its own, and these breweries added it at the peak of flavor to the beer. Easily the best aroma I have ever come across on a Fruit Beer.

T - Again, the peaches are wonderfully fresh and juicy. There's some crackery malt flavor in the background with a faint Belgian bent.

M/O - Creamy feel despite crisp carbonation. Excellent beer... I am so sad this was sent through the terrapin distribution network - I'd have loved a bottle or two to take home!

thanks to TATURBO for this sample!

reviewed from notes taken on 4/25/12.

poured into snifter.

Appearance: peach colored body. One and a half fingers of head that drop quickly to no head.

Smell: I dont really like peaches, but this beer actually smells good. Fresh and juicy peaches almost has a wine cooler smell to it.

Taste: Big peach flavor upfront and it finishes grainy. Drink this beer cold because as it warms to room temperature it begins to develop a medicinal and veggietal characterists to it that are not that pleasant.

Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer with about moderate carbonation.

Overall: Its very peachy and one demensional. Your girlfreind will love this beer if she enjoys peaches.

A: Golden with minimal head

S: Sweet Juicy Peach. If the rest of the beer lived up to the smell, This would be great. Smell was awesomely inviting.

T: Peach.... And not much else. A bit grainy in flavor. Not even average in taste hence the 2.5/5

M: Nothing special going on here.. Next...

Overall: Disappointing. Not sure what I'd hoped for in this but no complexity or really anything going on to make it stand out.

Ale brewed with peaches. Thanks josefiak
7.2% ABV

Copper red with a bubbly head that recedes real fast... looks clean, clear, and rather thin. Aroma is strong on peach but there's not much else to be found. Alright flavor... full of peach with some balancing bitterness but an odd tannic note... as if not just the flesh of the fruit but the seed too. Disappointingly thin and just weak and unsubstantial overall.

Got this from Bbothen as part of my fantasy football BIF winnings.

Pours an effervescent amber/orange with 2_ fingers of cream colored head. Some head retention & lacing

S: Peach & not much else

T: Peaches & pears & touch of orange marmalade up front. Marmalade bitterness & peach sweetness mix as this warms

MF: Medium bodied with firm carbonation

This is pretty good & drinkable as fruit beers go. I'm glad to have tried this. Not sure why I never see these collaborative Left Hand beers here or the surrounding states, we get all the other Left Hand stuff
