Pours into a large tulip glass an orange tinge lighter golden with a large blooming white head that leaves one full ring of lace as it settles oh so slowly into a frothy mass.Citrusy hops really jump out at ya in the nose then some funk and spice follows.Citric and leafy hops on the palate followed by some medicinal and spiced notes, there is a sourness in the finish that really lingers.I love the hops but don't love the phenols and sour-funk that comes into play, just not my style,it's a quality beer.

Bomber bottle, w/o freshness info that I can find.

Pours lighly hazed dull tangarine, under an oversized off white head thats loose and lasting. Leaving a large and high collar/sheeting and tongues of thicker lace.

Grapefruit all over the nose.

Tart and biting grapefruit on the palate carrying the freight here. Seems more then slightly over carbonated, which had me almost drain pouring it, thinking it had gone bad/infected. After letting it calm down a bit in the bottle, later pours were more agreable.

Citric, hoppy, abrasive, but ultimatly astrigent and at least fairly drinkable and mostly pretty good in a strange over the top sort of way....This will not be for everybody, but if ya like a close to over carbonated and biting grapefruit bomb of a beer, this one is for you...

22 oz bottle served in a Belgian snifter.

A: Pours a slightly hazy orange-amber color. A nice, durable white head leaves beautiful lacing behind.

S: Fruity, with citrus, pineapple, peach and apricot notes. There is also an obvious Belgian yeast component and a moderate, most peppery, spiciness.

T: Quite spicy at first, with contributions from the yeast and hops, but this fades nicely into a fruity-yeasty-bready mix. Sweet, tart and bitter in roughly equal measure.

Feel: Medium-high carbonation is moderately soft. Medium body; dry finish.

O: A successful and nteresting combination of styles. Well-balanced in that a farmhouse ale and an IPA vie for prominence but neither wins out. French farmhouse, Belgian wit and IPA in nearly equal degree. A tasty brew that changes a bit with warming.

On tap at Coffee District. Served in a snifter.

Appearance - Pale orange. Huge white head. Thick collar. Wispy surface.

Smell - Some citrus hops. Phenolic yeast notes. Lots of pale malt.

Taste - Citrus hops. Quickly overpowered by pale malt sweetness. Very phenolic in the back end. Mild bitterness.

Mouthfeel - Gets heavy. A little too sweet. Highly carbonated.

Overall - The phenols keep it mildly interesting. Otherwise too sweet and not hoppy enough.

The color appeared to be a light golden pear that set under a bright frothy, thick and sudsy head.

Quite complex in the nose I get honey, banana, spicy black pepper, honeysuckle flower, a herbal hop and a bit of perfume.

The flavor is very strong on the honeysuckle flower, with a caramel and toffee malt backbone. The hops are herbal but sweet and it finishes with the perfume like flavor.

The feel is light, fizzy and prickly but not so bad as to be abrasive.

An enjoyable beer with good variance and a light countenance.

A: poyrs a hazy orange with a finger of white head that fades into a thin cap with little lacing.

S: Belgian spice notes with some funky barnyard aromas followed by grassy hops. There are some musty oak notes toward the finish.

T: Belgian spices, candy sugar, and some barnyard flavors up front. Grassy and herbal hop flavors follow with some musty oak notes.

M: light body with mid-low carbonation, this beer is nice and drinkable.

O: an enjoyable beer overall. It's a nice mix of funky barnyard saison and hops.

appearance: Clear golden. Medium thick white head and lacing.
smell: Yeast and spice. Some bright fruit and floral notes.
taste: Not quite as complex as the nose. Quite crisp, dry.
overall: Very tasty and unusual Dr. Krunkles. I like this very much.

Poured into a Due South Brewing Co. snifter. No freshness date.

A- Pours a semi-hazy light amber color with a 1/2 inch white head that retains well before becoming a thick ring around the edge of the glass and a sheer sheet of surface foam. Non-resilient bubbly lacing slides quickly down the glass leaving a thick ring behind.

S- Floral hop aroma with a nice amount of funky yeast that's almost saison-like. Sweet wheat smell with some fruity esters.

T- More rich Belgian yeast flavor plus some spice. Not as much hop presence as expected but what's there is a nice touch. Some sweetness from the wheat rounds things out nicely.

M- Slightly creamy and slick with medium carbonation providing a nice bubbly sensation on the tongue. The body leans toward the lighter side.

O- Though it drinks more like a saison or Belgian pale ale rather than a Belgian IPA, it is very good. Highly drinkable and one of the more impressive Krunkles editions I've had.
