The new beer place to be on the W. 7th St. block area of the X-Cel Energy Center. As far as selection of craft brews on-tap or bottled, they just beat out Eagle Street and have much more then the Liffey, McGovern's, and Tom Ried's.

The place is colorful on the outside, has lots of space inside, a bit drab in the corners, but they just put in some new doors that should help open up some air and light to its otherwise flat and boring decor. However, the patio is possibly bigger then the restuarant/bar area, which itself has three separate areas and its best feature. So if the weather is fine, this place is great to be outside for. It's multi-leveled and has a cool firepit thingy on the street side. Inside can be a different story. The crowds here can vary by alot due to whatever may or my not be going on at the X or the RiverCenter. I've seen karokee(which they do often there) with nothing but country(ewwww) then some with nothing but Spanish dancing tunes? Hockey nights can be conservative suburban families to flat out drunk frat boys and gals whooping it up. By far one the most eclectic places I frequent in the area for crowds.

Most importantly, the beer list here is second best in downtown STP behind only the Bulldog, Eagle Street is a close 3rd, then maybe Great Waters, which has not been impressive of late with thier offerings. Anywho... Moe's maximizes its line up and mixes it up well with lots of rotating seasonals and local craft brews from Surly, Summit, Flat Earth, and even Schells...all on-tap! I've also seen and had many a different Great Lakes brews there, New Belgium, Bell's, Boulevard, Rush River, and even a couple Belgian's from time to time.

Food is straight up yummy. Great burger choices - obviously(see name); great apps, dogs, salads, and awesome old-fashion milk shakes for those hot Summer days/nights. So the menu is solid and a bit above the normal pubgrub you'd find. Perhaps a bit pricey, which is excepted for the area, even the beers can be a bit much if not happy hour or specials.

Service is by far needing an upgrade, have yet to recieve solid and quick service there, even on a slow weeknight. For the most part they all seem nice and fairly friendly, but somehow lack the drive and care of top notch service. Possibly its poorly managed and/or under staffed for nearly every visit I've encountered...? But hopefully that'll get corrected, and soon, otherwise this place will be like many others at this location...gone.
