A special tasting experience !
The name alone sums up the character of this lager. A careful selection of malted barley from the Spring and Winter seasons are brewed slowly: the result is a rare and precious brew called the noble brew which gives this beer its abundance of aromas dominated by malted tones. With a perfect balance, the touch of bitterness is complemented by its sweetness on the palate. Intense and powerful in taste, Meteor Grand Malt also stands out by its golden colour and generous head.

Bottle from Tres Bonne Cuisine. All malt in this puppy, strong malt aroma and taste. Slightly musty, sour nature to this, some yeast presence. Just below average for the style.

Meteor : Grand Malt
LOOK: Small 8.45oz stubby bottle. Pours a hazed copper color with a small white foam cap that has a bit of staying power.
SMELL: Quite malty, with euro pale notes of honey, toffee and butter.
TASTE: Malty flavors up front that have a hint of brown sugar. Light herbal hopping is there for balance, having a small, tea like flavor. Mild sweet sugars. Iced tea like sweetness in a euro lager. Has a honeyed aftertaste.
FEEL: Medium bodied, well rounded feel. The carbonation level is adequate and almost crisp.
OVERALL: A decently clean euro lager that's somewhere between an imperial pilsner and a golden bock. Easily drinkable and is inoffensive to the taste.
