This Czech bar opened in Dublin about 2006 catering mostly for the Czech and Slovakian population of Dublin. Centrally located (almost directly across from The Porterhouse Temple Bar, Parliament Street) it has two floors; the upstairs being a bit more of a "lounge" with carpets and is quieter. Downstairs is a bit basic (nothing wrong with that) but at night can have music that would not be to my taste! It also shows plenty of sports on the big screen with particular attention to sport involving Czech and Slovakian national teams etc.

The main attraction for me is the beer selection. Apart from the usual Dublin macro rubbish, thay also have Gambrinus, Pilsner Urquell, Staropramen, Budvar, Saris, Saris dark, Zlaty Bazant (Slovakian), Paulaner, and a brew called Murrays ale brewed in Ireland for three or four pubs in Dublin. Murrays would be one of the cheapest pints in the city and is not a bad brew.

From time to time they stock Herold, Herold dark and I have had Kelt (a Staropramen milk stout). It is definitely worth checking out (excuse the pun!) to see what they have on tap when in the area.

They also serve solid hearty meals in the Czech tradition. It is a nice alternative to other pubs in the area.
