After going to the barrel house several times, I finally decided I needed to review one of my favorite places to go for beers in Portland.
A: The atmosphere here is great. Great people conversing over great beer. From first time sour explorers to seasoned vets, the place is always filled with friendly faces eager to see what Cascade is going to bring us next. Overal design of the place is cool with bench seating on the floor with booths, and bar seats. Cool "half" barrels stick out of the back of the bar were the taps come through. The barrel room is very modern looking but a great place on a wet oregon evening.
Q: They are in my top 3 as far as breweries go for the excellent quality of their beers. Bourbonic Plague and Vlad the Imp Aler are to die for as well as their season regulars. I can honestly say I have never really had a bad beer from Cascade.
S: Service great as well, staff is very knowledgeable about their complex beer -even the cooking staff.
S: They generally have a great selection of sours and non sours so that everyone can have a beer or two. They have new stuff on every week with their signature "Tap it Tuesdays."
F: I haven't had much of their food to behonest but I have had a couple sandwiches for their a couple of times and they have always been great and very reasonably priced.
Again, this is one of my favorite places to go to. A "must see" if coming to Portland.

This is a dreamers spot for sour beer lovers.
Cascade has to be the king of pnw for sour beers. Their projects are always on point and they do a fantastic job with their delivery.
The barrel house may be very packed but you get to do tasters for their brews. There was PLENTY to select from. The server was extremely knowledgeable of each of the brews and quick to serve as well.
The brew was fantastic and the setup was nice.
I think you add food to joint and it's perfect, i was so hungry while i was there i sorta cut my experience a little shorter than i'd live to have. Overall awesome… bottles to go are a bit pricey though.
