"We brewed this beer with Maris Otter, Wheat, Crystal, and Chocolate malts, Cluster, Liberty, and Fuggle hops, English Ale yeast, history and respect. We took the ingredients, brewing techniques, and traditions that have made Lighthouse Race Rocks Ale Victoria’s favourite local beer and then turned it up to 15! Exciting and new, yet comfortable and familiar."

A: Deep, dark mahogany with modest creamy tan head.
S: Vanilla, festive spices, caramel, maybe a touch of floral too.
T: Much the same - vanilla is strong but not overly so, and what was a bit of a surprise is the hops content - creating as much a "junior barleywine" flavour as a winter ale flavour that the spices and vanilla were creating. Really nice, with sticky-sweet and lush caramel malts but enough hops to prevent them from seeming heavy.
M: Creamy, almost sticky with pleasant carbonation.
O: Very much enjoyed this one. Wish I bought more than one, but there are many more beers to be drunk!

Loving this beer as it tastes like something from Stone with all the lovely big hops and a slight Belgian note to the yeast. This is a complex beer that is like a pale ale on steroids but with an Old Ale note to the finish. Love to see this repeated but even it is a one timer it stands among my fave BC beers from 2013

Lighthouse Brewing '15th Anniversary Ale' (aka Race Rocks x15) @ 8.0% , first tasting at Garrick's Head Pub 'Launch Party' , second tasting from a 650 ml bottle purchased for $7.50 , this review from a '[email protected]' purchased $5 , $10 fill
A-pour is a light gold from the growler to a clear dark amber in the glass with a small off white head that is leaving a minimal lace ring along the stein
S-faint whiff of some Belgian yeast & big addition of hops
T-'Race Rocks on Roids' is what I heard on the first tasting , halve to agree from bottle version as well , growler equally big & bitter , still tasty
MF-mild medium carbonation , big full bodied , Race Rocks isn't the smoothest , nor is 15th Anniversary
Ov-ok beer , bottle version bit expensive , growler version halve a friend or two help you with it ,
