Aroma: Fresh buttered popcorn...uh oh...this is classic diacetyl. Warming and swirling only aggravates the problem. The more I swirl, the more it smells like fresh buttered corn-on-the-cob.

Appearance: Hazy brick red pour with a fluffy off-white head.

Flavor: More artificial butter. Slick and slightly bitter. Tastes like there could be some "C" hops in there but it's hard to tell. Sorry...I got nothing but butter.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, medium-high carbonation, finishes very slick.

Overall impression: Diacetyl. This is a classic example of a "troubleshooting" beer. Either the brewer racked too quickly off the yeast or fermentation temperature wasn't properly controlled. This is a handling issue. Brewer takes the hit. Seems like it could have a lot of potential but it was hidden by the diacetyl.

Bottle courtesy of a travelling friend. This brew pours a murky orange color with a medium thick and foamy light beige head that dissipates slowly. Top ring of lacing with spots underneath. Huge butterscotch aroma blows off pretty quickly, leaving a floral hoppy nose. Medium-bodied and moderately hoppy with butterscotch and malt undertones. The finish is dry and equal parts hops and malt. Pretty enjoyable overall.
