Big thanks to JohnGalt1 for sending me an incredible box, which contained this and much much more.

Pours a clear orange color with amber tints and a white head that reduces quickly leaving a broken ring around the surface. Ample carbonation can be seen in the depths of this one.

Nose is very very winelike. Lactic notes, oak and certainly noticeable grape presence. Some slight spice is detectable, but not prominent.

Wow! This is a very interesting beer to say the least. Quite complex. Opening notes are very crisp and fruit-like. Grapes are clear and present in the flavor, but not cloying or overbearing. An Oaky dryness starts early and only increases up to the finish. The lacto notes are not quite as balls out as many would like, but i think they compliment the overall state of this beer quite well. Very dry finish, leaves sweet white grape juice flavor lingers, but again, not cloying or too sweet in the least. There is indeed a touch of a spice profile that is most prominent here after the finish.

Mouthfeel is right where it oughta be with ample carbonation. It is the tiniest bit viscous for the style, but for this beer i find it appropriate. Very dry beer.

Drinkability is very strong, especially for the suprisingly high abv. A pretty refreshing beer, really. A wine lover would eat this up i would bet.

Overall an impressive beer from the Cascade series. Alot of people might slam this because it isn't the most sour palate thrashing beer around, but make no mistake, this is a very well crafted and delicate beer, and is certainly a tart brew. I would be willing to bet the brewer acheived almost exactly what they wanted to with this. There is great balance between tart dryness and white grape flavor. I would love to have another bottle of this to see how it does with a bit of age. An interesting beer, and one i would certainly drink again.

750 mL pours a hazed gold color with a bright white head that snap-crackle-pops its way down to a small collar.

Nose is very much white wine - like a pinot gris. Maybe some grape kool-aid powder too. Crazy good.

Tastes like wine flavored SweeTarts...very nice. Not overly sour, but walks the line between dry tartness and sweet grains. Bubbly carbonation almost gives it a champagne feel. It is very good. Not my favorite Cascade, but another winner for sure.

2012 Project; Hazy golden pour. Medicinal welch's grape, tart and earthy aroma. Nice oaky flavor and lactic acidity on the front end. The grape is present and overly sweet up front with a strong white wine like alcohol backbone. The flavor dies out with a mild earthiness. Carbonated with large bubbles which didn't help the mouthfeel. I ended up drinking a glass and switching to the white wine my wife had opened. Not a bad beer by any means just disappointing given the price and my expectations. I wasn't expecting Vigneronne but this beer really needs some funk to balance out the sweetness and add some complexity.
