On draught at the lodge, served in a cervoise, Sang Noir with a small tan collar.
Smell is gorgeous. Bright lacto and dark malts bring a very nice sweet tarts aroma that is just amazing.
Taste is great as well, very complex and a pleasant different from many of their other wild ales due to the dark malts. Big sourness, cherries, chocolate and lime tonic water.
Mouthfeel is oily and slick, sliding down like an oyster but with nice carbonation with swished. Medium bodied.
Drinkability is insanely good. This is their best beer I've had yet. I'm a big fan of sour darks, and this one really kills it. The intense flavor hides the strong ABV, making this one potentially very dangerous.
Serving type: on-tap
