2013 Project. 9.94% ABV. 750 ml bottle poured into a wine glass

Appearance: Pours a darker shade of orange with a pinkish hue. About a finger of an off white head settles to a thick ring and patches of a fine coating. Body is hazy with some small yeast chunks at a the bottom and light visible carbonation.

Smell: Raspberry, lactic acidity, oak, peach/apricot, strawberry, slight red wine character.

Taste: Medium/high clean lactic sourness. Raspberry, tart citrus, oak, more red berries with a pale malt backbone and very slight nuttiness in the finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with medium assertive carbonation. Finishes tart with some residual sweetness, but the carbonation prevents it from being cloying. Surprisingly refreshing for almost 10%.

Overall: Another good one from Cascade and well worth seeking out. However, as is typical for them, this is a more clean and fruit forward sour, so don't go in expecting something funky.
